But I don't think it'll happen for at least 10 more years, based on the rate that I'm going. Especially if I do finally get a full time job before then. Still, I'd be looking at sometime in the 2020's before my posting gets that far... and hopefully this good ol' board will still be around then ;)

What's so special about these numbers, you ask, besides the fact that each of them contains runs of 3 of the same digit? Well....in the count of SMF posts (which have been made since April 2004), we have three 2's, a 5, and three 7's...and 2+5=7. And the overall count (all-time posts since May 1998) is a palindrome!

Looks like this will be one of my slow days on the board...I've made less than a hundred today. Oh well, I guess we all have days like that, when we need a break from the 'puter. I had to help take down some of our Christmas decorations today, so I didn't have much computer time this afternoon. That, and volunteer work.

Well she does for now, since her account's still here. Too bad you didn't get to meet her, though; she was lots of fun. She was a big contributor to PBG (just like me, Philip and Frank) and posted lots of great quizzes.
If she'd been active at all in the past 3 years, chances are that she would have become the third "Geek!!" sometime last year, and possibly have close to 120,000 by now.

I try to contribute to the "What song are you listening to" thread as much as I can, and post in the PBG threads (which I've been doing a lot of since day one...and pretty soon I'll be coming up on my 6-year anniversary of membership).
So far I have made just a shade over 2,000 posts this year...and if that continues, then I could reach 200,000 overall posts sometime in September of this year.

I wasn't even aware that I passed her and moved into foruth until now. about 30 posts later.
I'd mentioned it in the Person Above Me thread when I last replied there.
You would've liked her; she was lots of fun, in the Quizzes and PBG. If she'd been here at all in the past 3 years she'd undoubtedly have become the next Geek by now.

Well I wasn't on in the morning because on Tuesdays I go in to do my volunteer work...and later I was on for a couple hours. But now, at 11:30pm, I think I'm about ready to call it a night.
This makes approximately 110 for me today. So I have averted a two-day streak of less than 100 posts.

Yep...about 2 or 3 years. The top 2 have been secure since September/October 2005, and ever since Howard moved into 3rd place in late 2007, the three of us have held the top spots in the same order.

8 more days or so.
