Well, they don't show baseball on free-to-air over here, only on cable (which we don't have anymore), and often late at night. We actually used to have a national baseball league here years ago - but I think it seemed to be a fad, as the local team - the 'Perth Heat' only lasted about five years or so.

That's the beauty of the game. To an uninformed observer, it appears there are no rules. It's such a fluid, free-flowing game, which promotes skill and athlethicism - unlike brute strength like in Rugby.etc. It's less of a contact sport than Rugby or even American football (though you have to be no less tough to play it), yet more exciting. I don't know if they telecast matches on ESPN 2 or some other channel over there, but to find out more info go to www.afl.com.au, or do a google search.
