I turns out that we have Spiderman 3 in our DVD collection.

I have not found any online versions of the game. All I have is a boxed version of it that was made sometime in the 1980's, but the game itself is still in great condition. (That's 'cause we haven't played it much.)
When I played it that last time, I did not get as far as buying houses, because like I said, we set a time limit (1 hour, I believe). I know there are more advanced things such as selling houses and hotels, mortgages, etc.

Well, at the time, I was getting acquainted with most of Weird Al's music, and we found out that he'd be performing at the Orange County Fair...so we decided to go see the show. Also, my mother's cousin and his family were living in nearby Tustin, so we got together with him and traveled down from his house to the fair. The show was lotsa fun.
Also, it was my second time seeing the man in person. The first was in February 1997 at a Dr. Demento show at Caltech in Pasadena. I noticed during intermission that he was sitting in the bank of seats across the aisle from me...but I didn't get to meet him. (Nor did I really have any desire to.) Lots of people were lined up waiting to meet him/get his autograph during the intermission period, and I just stayed in my seat.

It was OK. Can't hear anything Mick Jagger was singing tho :D Could not understand any of the words.
If you've been to a stones concert, youd' understand what i mean by that.
...which I haven't.
In fact, I haven't seen too many bands in concert. Just three years ago I saw The Duprees, The Penguins, Diamond Dave Somerville, and Johnny Maestro & The Brooklyn Bridge all at the same show and they were great. And in 1999 I saw Weird Al (as mentioned above, and his backup band)... and when my family went to the Orange County Fair in 1997 we saw the Grass Roots (another classic band) perform.

I would like to have seen Grass Roots. Nice oldies music, all those bands you mentioned. The Grass Roots drummer now lives on Vancouver Island, (I read that somewhere on the net)

Of course. They were kids when the "oldies" music came out, and over the past few years they've watched Doo-Wop specials on the PBS network.

I also watch those type of specials on PBS, both my wife and I. We like and appreciate that kind of music. I like the music from the 50s and 60s, much, much more than the music today.

Yeah, I like watching them too. I don't hear much of it on the radio anymore (if at all), not even on most "oldies" stations... and the fact that some of those musicians are still around, and that they're able to still perform, is wonderful too. Of course, some of the groups have recruited newer members over the years, but they maintain the sound nonetheless.

I grew up with certain music that I didn't know until later in my life. When I was little, in the 80's, many radio stations still had 70's stuff on their playlists, and it kinda got phased out during the 90's...until "oldies" stations began adding it to their playlists.

Yes... although rap music's roots can be traced earlier than that. The first commercially successful rap song was probably "Rappers Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang, which was released in 1979. Of course, that song's rhythm track was borrowed from "Good Times" by Chic, a disco song.

I think so. Jackie Chan has a leading role in them; he plays a Hong Kong detective, and Chris Tucker plays a witty member of the Los Angeles police force. In each Rush Hour installment, they are assigned to solve a serious case (the first being a kidnapping) and must deal with a series of villains, who Jackie Chan's character ultimately takes care of with his martial arts skills.
Also, at the end of each Rush Hour film, they show outtakes which I find hilarious.

And...if you let them go around enough times (might want to wiggle the mouse every so often so that the screensaver doesn't kick in), they'll get spaced further and further apart and the one who is behind could eventually win.
This reminds me of the emoticon race from November 5, 2007, when all of the emoticons were disguised with a Guy Fawkes mask.

No, it's bad news that the censors have their hands in control again. We know many friends/acquaintances from China. Only after they left China to come to North America that they even knew that June 4, 1989 even existed. (Tianamen Square massacre)

Yes, I posted a similar picture as an attachment a while back. (Which reminds me, I still haven't created a Photobucket account yet!)
I keep thinking about how awesome it would be for me to travel over there in person; I could still do it, since I live about 60 miles away. Of course I would have to drive on the freeway for a good part of the journey, and have enough gas in the car. I'm becoming better at driving on the freeway; in fact, last week I drove on the freeway by myself (i.e, without anybody else in the car) for about half a mile and felt really confident about it! Now if I can go further, and in the fast lane if possible. I think I might be able to do it sometime this year.

That's another thing, when I do finally see the ET house in person (whenever that is), I would bring my digital camera along so that I can take a picture or two of it.
And I think I have mentioned that I've seen at least a couple filming locations from the movie in person. These include the park where the bike chase begins, and the tree-lined street where the boys lift up in the air on their bikes to evade the government authorities.

And I know I've seen various film locations from other movies, such as Legally Blonde 2 and Sky High (Cal State Northridge buildings, but I did not see the latter film). Also the freeway used in Speed was the Interstate-105 in Los Angeles, which was not yet open to the public at the time of filming, but I have traveled on it a few times in the past 15 years. Including the massive stack interchange at the junction with Interstate-110.

I just spent the past hour or two on Bing Maps and looked at birds-eye views of some of my past places (mostly schools). Some of these views are probably from 2007-08 or so, which is fairly recent, but it's still a big change from when I was last at some of these locations (mostly during the 90's).
