So true.

And then next month in the US we have Mother's Day, and then Father's Day in June. Then in July it'll be time for my birthday! (which is 100 days away)

According to what I found on the Wikpedia entry, it occurs on the 4th Sunday of the Lenten season...which would be today. Apparently it's a celebration of motherhood that is observed in European countries.

bunny ears were horrible.

You had to keep adjusting them to get a decent picture on whatever channel you were tuned to. That was a pain. When we lived in the mobile home, we often had poor pictures on certain channels, and no matter how much we adjusted the rabbit ears, we couldn't get 'em crystal clear. Of course, if we got a decent picture on one channel, it would mess up the settings on the other.

Last year, when his birthday fell on a Friday, he took the whole day off work, thereby arranging a 3-day weekend so he could celebrate his special day with us.

Next year it'll be a Monday (because of the leap year), so he might have to work. We'll see.

Last time he had a Monday birthday (2007), he took the day off. I couldn't help celebrate because I had a class that day. However, the day before that was Easter Sunday, and we went out for a special brunch...but later had cake at home in the evening.

This year, I will have a Monday birthday, but I don't have any plans yet. I'm not even sure if I'll be working again. We'll just have to wait and see.

Yup, no matter what direction we turned them (on certain stations), the picture would not be to our liking. Sometimes we'd get a picture where we could see what was going on, but it wasn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination.

Yeah, me too; there is a sofa in the upstairs loft, where my television set is. Last night I watched it at midnight, for back-to-back episodes of "Whose Line Is It Anyway" on the ABC Family channel.
I saw an episode of "Whose Line Is It Anyway" this morning, it must had been an early edition for Drew Carey as explaining to the audience how a game is played.

He often does that in most episodes, especially for any first-time viewers. "If you never saw the show before, here's what happens: these guys are gonna make up everything off the top of their heads..." And then he explains how a game is played, after announcing which one it is.

Yes, Greg Proops has been the fourth performer many a time. He's done some pretty funny things on both the American and British versions of the show.

In the two episodes I saw, Kathy Griffin was the fourth performer on the first episode (although she sat in the second chair from the left), and Chip Esten was the fourth performer on the second episode (he, too, sat in the second chair).

Here is part of the Kathy Griffin episode that I saw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFhjmFxcrWQ

The performers sing an Irish Drinking Song about graduation (which has a rather silly ending), do a round of "Scenes From A Hat", and then Wayne Brady sits at the desk (he is the "winner") while everyone else does a round of "World's Worst".

By the way, I happened to see "E.T." on the TV again today.

I watched the "quarantine" scenes in detail a little more... and there is one place where the scientists come out of the home (which is covered in plastic sheets) and the camera pans to the right...towards Dos Rios Drive, and the teenage bikers (Michael's friends, who later help elude the government authorities) are sitting with their bikes on that portion of the street, while trying to figure out what is going on in there; one of them says "Something is definitely happening."

Maybe if MC Hammer were to perform a concert at some venue, then the keen fans would probably dress like him and there'd be lots of them in the audience. I dun'know, just a thought.
