I'll check later.

The answer is: Baker's Dozen Game, with over 338,000 views.

However, most of the threads in that list have been locked and restarted. Still, they get viewed by guests from time to time.

But the guests cannot post in some of them (such as the aforementioned one).

Let's see... out of the top 10 viewed threads, the one with the most views that is still active is the "Nib Oswald" one.

Baker's Dozen Game? It's in the Penguin Boards Games section. The players have to name 13 items (taking turns) that fit a certain category.

Definitely. If the given subject is one that I hardly know anything about, or can't play on, then I have to sit out for the round. For example, a couple years or so ago the subject was "Songs on your Ipod", and I could not participate because I do not own an Ipod or other portable mp3 player.

It was like that in our old house. We had bookcases in just about every room. When we finally moved to our new house ten years ago, we set aside one of the "bedrooms" (which is actually an open loft) as a library, complete with a comfortable sofa and wing chair at which we can sit and read.

and some shows weren't even worth 1 season.

One notable example that comes to mind for me is "Courting Alex", a sitcom which aired five years ago on CBS and got shut down after only eight episodes. Jenna Elfman played the lead character, who I thought was witty. I think two other episodes had been filmed, but they never aired.

Then later in 2006, CBS launched another sitcom, "The Class", about a group of eight elementary school classmates who reunite after 20 years, as young adults (although one of 'em would be deployed midway through the series); I thought it had some good storylines and all, but it only lasted one full season, leaving a few of the storylines up in the air.

I have two bookcases in my bedroom. One of them is a three-tiered bookshelf which my grandfather had built in the 1960's, originally for my mother when she was in her teens; after I came along, she passed it down to me and I have used it for various books that have come and gone. The other bookcase, which I acquired in 2002, contains all my videotapes and CD's.

We do not have the real need for domestic air conditioning here, it does not get that hot.

That's what we initially thought during our first year or two in our new home, since we often get the ocean breeze... but one year during the summer, the temperature did top 90 F. Furthermore, on Labor Day in 2004 we had some brutal heat; this finally convinced us to get an air conditioner. So we had one installed the following April. Now it's there for us to use whenever it gets too hot.

Yes, that's about the appropriate temperature to use it.

In the house I grew up in, we usually had hot summers, so air conditioning was a must. However, the unit that we had broke down in 1998, after 19 years of use, so we had to get a new one installed. That way, when we sold the place in 2000, the new tenants could have a working appliance.

Sometimes you need to if the weather outside is scorching hot, like in some parts of the US in summertime. But only in moderation, since too much cold air would make the room feel like an icebox.

I know how that can be. I often find it hard to figure out what gifts to get my parents, either for their birthdays or Christmas. In fact, my dad's birthday is next Saturday and I am still trying to figure out what to get him.
