For the upteenth time, a mail for the local cable company wanting to know if I want cable, this time 3 months free and $14.99 after that a month.

They never give up. I don't want cable. There is nothing good on TV to watch. I'll just watch my DVDs of older shows, when comedy was actually funny.

Sometimes ours comes late. Especially around the holidays. Yesterday we had a maillady, who looked rather unprofessional, but did her job...as she put two things in our mailbox, both of which were addressed to me. Those two things were: a Christmas card from a friend, and a piece of confidential information. :-X

The reason why we haven't gotten any mail yet is that my husband put the wrong box # when he filled out the mail forward thingy. He called our P.O. back home and they were so glad that he called. He gave him the right # over the phone. She even said if things don't go the way they are supposed to, she will put all our mail in a Priority envelope and mail it to us that way. No problem. Gotta love small towns.

Nothing today thankfully but I can tell you what I got yesterday. The City Council nearly sent me to court a while back because I didn't pay £19 (about $36?) of my remaining council tax on time just before I left my flat. Yesterday, I recieved a letter saying they owe me £9 of that back due to efficiency. Maybe I ought to take them to court if they are slack with their payment, lol.

No, that came last week ;)
It`s a police check coz , while I am waiting to find another job, I am volunteering and an adult employment program to get people back in the workforce. Downstairs is a day care. If you work inside a bulding with children in it, the org needs to protect itself and all employees and voluntters need to have a police check done. It`s $27.00, but the company will reimburse me.

It seems my dad had it all years and totally forgot about it. I thought it was lost forever or that I just didn't get one that year. Though, looking at my photo in it, I kind of wish that it disappeared off of the face of the earth. lol. (The funny thing was one of my sisters just sent me a copy of that same photo just last week-I thought it was my 6th grade photo instead of my 7th.) He also sent the program to the play that I was in when I was in 8th grade.

I got my second rejection notice from some prominent lawyers where I live. I broke my neck at a local motel on Thanksgiving morning. I've been in extreme pain since then and have been to the Neurosurgery clinic on three different appointments and to the ER about six times. I must wear a collar until I'm seen again on the 6th of January. My guess is that there is surgery in my forecast which may cripple me. Neuro is hoping that the break and damage will heal by then but I doubt it. The pain and numnessshould be decreasing but instead it is increasing.

You would think that these well known lawyers would give me a list of lawyers that would handle this kind of case. I slipped due to a faulty bathtub mat and fell backwards into the corner of the floor and wall out side of the bathtub. I suffered a major concussion. lost consciousness and messed up the 4th, 5th and 6th bone in the right side of my neck. Theres are only three bones higher before the brain stem. The 6th bone is broken and the fifth has caused by right arm to be nearly useless. My right leg is starting to get numb and painful. My right arm is completely numb and I have about 40 percent use of it even though it hurts like hell, It hurt more when I do use it or even when I don't but just a tad less. I'm right handed so this doesn't help much.

Two of the discs in between the bones are dried out. To top things off the US ARMY hospital, BAMC had me scheduled for physical therapy until I insisted through the patient adocate for a new doctor which I got. She told me that physical therapy would have been the worst thing they could do to me in my condition. To top things off the chief of Neurosurgery called me to find out exactly what my beef was. He was going by the original doctor and told me to get the therapy ASAP. I was also told my my new Neurosurgeon tha therapy was the worst thing they could have done to me. It would have only made a bad situation worse and could have crippled me permanently. Another doctor told me today the very same thing about physical therapy at this time that It would have certainly made a very bad situation worse and could have crippled me beyond what I already am. I wouldn't want to be that doctor that passed this info on the therapy onto his chief.

If anyone knows of a good lawyer that would take my case in the South Texas area I would greatly appreciate it. I am at a loss on who to contact next. Bills are piling up and I am burning all my leave up because they will not permit me to return to work. I just want to break even but I'm not going to be able to stand the loss of leave and the extra bills that are mounting up.

Hope you all have a very Nerry Christmas and prosperous New Year. I will probably be filing bankrupcy in the new year.

Nothing - today is a federal holiday since Christmas falls on a Saturday so all mail delivery should have been suspended for the day. But sometimes USPS does not follow the same schedule as other federal workers do.

It is the same in the UK. Every ten years in a '1' year. The first census was done in 1801

we did fill one in last year in the US. can't recall much of it though. :-\\

You probably might've gotten it last year, since in the U.S., censuses are done in years that end with '0'. So you probably won't get another one until 2020. As Cat said above:

I got a brand spankin' new book-hot off the presses before it is sold to the public. I got it from the author and signed by the author and to my amazement, my pic is in the book. :o :o :o (Well, I was a baby in the pic along with the author of the book.)

In case you have guessed, it is my sister's new book! She won't be selling it until May.
