In the United States, absinthe is not a controlled substance but its sale in bars and liqour stores is banned. Absinthe is still however legal to purchase and possess in the United States . In most of the European Union, absinthe may be sold as long as it stays at 10mg of thujone. In Canada, absinthe is completely legal, and on sale in some liquor stores.
Unlike most other internet based absinthe shops, our absinthes contain the original levels of the psychoactive ingredient thujone. It is thujone that produces the celebrated "absinthe effects".

You won't - and you shouldn't until you are over 30 - having real friends and being a purpose to society is very grown up and being a grown up is highly over rated. I don't think I had more than one or 2 real friends until I was 35. And I'm still not sure if I want much to do with society as a whole. And I'm 40. there's a new breed of dogs called "labradoodles" a cross between a lab and a poodle (some are so cute, others, awful)

there's a new breed of dogs called "labradoodles" a cross between a lab and a poodle (some are so cute, others, awful)
they're also breeding "goldenoodles"

I just finished judging a sliding across the floor contest. We are cleaning the concrete in the warehouse with an apparently slippery cleaner and my hot little warehouse guys asked me to come judge them sliding across the concrete. They asked me if I was judging distance and form and I didn't have the heart to tell them that I was so mesmerized by their firm little buns I was just making up numbers. So what did I learn? I am a dirty old woman! ;)

Howard you have a good heart. Where I come from, NO gift would be seen as an insult. The old adage is true "it is the thought that counts". Yeah, perhaps a 2-month-late anniveraary plaque is late, but it is still a celebration of your relationship with her. Very odd response from her, it seems. :-\\

I can understand her wanting you to get a job and all... because that is for your own good, and she probably needs to know she won't have to be supporting you for the rest of your life if you decide to stay together... but a gift doesn't have to be Hannukah related... she should appreciate the fact that you went out and got her something.

I learned that the construction going on behind the community center and bocce ball courts involves erecting what appears to be some kind of small storage building and the replacement of the asphalt footpaths with cobblestone. I think it looks just fine. The cobblestone is more in keeping with Crockett's rustic feel...
Just can't believe how long this construction is taking as they started it last spring or summer...

No, not until I told them. It's wierd because his cousin comes down during holidays and stuff and we hang around and do normal stuff. It never really occured to me until he told me. Seriously, speaking to him you would never guess!
Just the other week we went bowling, and the other day we played football with him... wow... it got me when he told me.
It was one of those wierd moments when you get told something and you suddenly stop and think "...wow..."

I asked my kid if she'd seen much junk on there and she seemed surprised at what I said saw. I guess there editors were behind in their duties.
Today I learned not to throw away old calendar pages/months without checking to see if there was some important documentation that needed to be kept on them, like my daughters log of hours she spent driving so she can get required drive time prior to obtaining drivers license. I effed up royally on that one. :-[

I can get sloppy drunk off of three beers despite being a big guy. I have a very weak tolerance for it..

I remember in my wild days :-[....I could drink like 12 Zima's and only have like a buzz...but once I started mixing stuff...that's when I got drunk...but I didn't like beer...mostly mixed drinks or Zimas.

I didn't like Zima at all.. it tasted too malty for me. I don't really like beer either, unless its German beer like Spaten.
