I lived with my mate Dave in his place for a while back in England. He's the same age as me. ???

Presumably it's a law over here?

If it is then there are double standards because at the moment in the eyes of the U.S Government i am on my own, nobody is under any legal responsibility to take me in.

The theory was right, the initial key data collected was wrong.

I'm learning about social deprivation on this course I'm doing.

I also learned on Saturday that there is a massive statue of ABRAHAM LINCOLN in Westminster - he is sitting down in a chair looking at the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben.  I never knew that statue was there  :)

The election results... 2 weeks after.

Now we no longer have to see the horrendously disfigured people on our TV sets (and plastered all over the city on billboards) and we can go back to ignoring the government for another 3 years.  :D

I found that out myself a few weeks ago.  They got over 250 locations across the US. :)

Here's an interesting little tidbit for my fellow Canadians.  I learned this yesterday and it's something i've always wondered about ...

Ever see this little logo on an album before?

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y7/whistledog/MAPL.jpg

The CanCon rule requires that Canadian radio stations play (i believe) atleast 30% Canadian music.  That logo means that the album contains Canadian content and it gives a Canadian artist a better chance of having their songs played on the air :)

Often certain sections of the logo will be highlghted in white, signifying that the recording is not 100% Canadian ...

M - the Music is performed by a Canadian
A - the Artist is Canadian
P - the recording was Produced in Canada
L - the Lyrics were written by a Canadian

I thought I had to put the new belt on the hoover I have just bought. It's taken me about . . . 3 hours to work out how to do it only to find there is already a belt in there!

I definately learned don't accuse someone of doing something until you know all the facts, that's very easy to do online, because you hear so many different sides and you don't know which side is right.

Unfortunately I had no camera on me. I guess the theatre had this wall there for years and when they restored the theatre and tore down the wall, they unearthed all these old signatures which looked as if they had been written yesterday. I couldn't believe how preserved the pencil looked. They must of not known for years. There were also signatures from Mae West and Al Jolson, but Jolson's was covered in plexi-glass.

I was hoping the signatures have been preserved with a cover, it would be a great lost to lose them.

Rightly so, I hope they do the same with Gable's as it's way too valuable - actually all of them were just fun to read and deserve equal preservation. They also had drawn some funny drawings of an opera singer and an old fashioned football player. Recent signatures had been added to continue the tradition.
