Did anyone play the parts of Molly and her beau?  When a group of us did that song at our Spirit Week talent show my Junior year, a couple of us acted out some of what was being talked about in the song.

We just get the day off work.  There's probably some fair or something happening in town and there is usually Morris dancing somewhere locally.  I expect that various towns and villages have their own traditional thing to do for May Day.

This year I'm going to be in South Wales at the British Championship orienteering event.

Here all along I thought it had to do with a celebration of women's fertility or something (so I chose never to dance around a may pole....ever...well ok...maybe once when I was a child...before I knew better.  Just in case it actually had some secret power to restore fertility...I'm not taking ANY chances.  ;D

The last 2 semesters, I will only have 1 class and my education/clinical, you just have to take the education classes in a particular order so you can't take 2 at the same time and you can't take them over the summers :-\\

So, you decided to keep going?  Good for you.  It's hard work with the kids, but it will definitely be worth it.  I think one of the biggest pluses is them seeing ME doing school work so I think they're beginning to realize that it takes hard work to get what you want.  We have "homework time" when they get home where we ALL do our homework together :)  If you need help or advice, you know you can always PM me ;)

at first you avoid filling a prescription that the doctor gave you because you don't have insurance, and medicine is just so darned expensive ($200 alone for my insulin last month) so when you ask the pharmacist how much it's going to be, apparently Wal-Mart has a few select medicines that they offer discounts on.  Long story short, my blood pressures medicine is only $4.00.  So that is some totally good news.  :)

Yep!  Luckily I can usually spread it out into two paychecks, refill one with one paycheck and the other with the next paycheck, but this last time, I ran out on both of them at the same time.

Doctor said, if my blood test come back alright he might put me back on pills which would presumably be cheaper, PLUS I might be eligible for medical insurance thru my hubby's veterans benefits.  Just have to get my act together and all the paperwork filled out and copies made, etc. ad infinum.

That's what I was thinking.  In the UK you would get the medicine for free.  Certain long term conditions received free medication.  For other problems that require a lot of medication you can buy a pre payment certificate. This works out cheaper per item than the usual cost of £6.85

at first you avoid filling a prescription that the doctor gave you because you don't have insurance, and medicine is just so darned expensive ($200 alone for my insulin last month) so when you ask the pharmacist how much it's going to be, apparently Wal-Mart has a few select medicines that they offer discounts on.  Long story short, my blood pressures medicine is only $4.00.  So that is some totally good news.  :)
Do you have a Sam's Club near you?  According to a friend, their pharmacy prices are the cheapest.

Yeah I do, not too far away (although farther then Wal-Mart.)  I fill my prescriptions at Wal-Mart now, I wonder if their pharmacies are the same prices since they are owned by the same company.

They actually don't have the same prices.  He got a prescription at Wal-Mart for $30 (his copay so it was more than that) and the exact same stuff at Sam's was around $12 :o

Thanks, I'll have to look into it.  The Sam's Club nearest me doesn't have a pharmacy (just checked online). but the one that is about 30 miles away has one, it might be worth the drive if I can save half (or more then).  I have to get it on Friday anyways, I ran out about a week ago and payday is on Friday.  I never would have even considered Sam's Club had you not mentioned it.  I was considering looking pharmacies up online to see if I could get the meds from Canada (although I'm not entirely sure that that is legal (never did it before).  Since my meds have to be refrigerated, I don't even know if they *can* ship through the mail...  So many questions, not enough energy to look up the answers.  Some librarian *I've* become.  ;D

I wouldn't have either if someone hadn't mentioned it to me.  Unfortunately, I called them and my son's meds that he takes every day is more expensive than our copay because I can only get 1 month for about $50 (although it would be over 1/2 the "regular" price I would pay if I didn't have insurance) there and I can get 3 months for $75 at certain pharmacies.

Howard, whatever choices you make jobwise, make sure they feel right for YOU.  Do it at your own pace.  If you do it on Robin's schedule and YOU don't feel comfortable, it'll create problems in a) your relationship; b) your goodwill with the job; and c) your mental health in general.

oh just the usual marriage stuff that can cause strife, like tonight's topic "we spend too much money and need to curb our spending" and I know I'm probably more guilty than her, although she loves to shop, she's been a professional for a long time now. I explained we need to have a powwow Sunday to discuss things and get focused and be together on all that's $$$$ going on.
she likes it when I take charge ;D

Powwow!?

I seem to remember we had one before, eh Mike?  ;) Here's a tiny bit of it ....

                                                    BADFINGER FAN
http://www.2dgraphics.biz/artwork/caricature/smokers_cough.jpg
'Choke! Cough! Splutter! ... Think I'm dying !'

      MR MISTER
http://www.2dgraphics.biz/artwork/caricature/smokers_cough.jpg
'Agh! Me too ! If this is the price of peace, let's resume hostilities !'

Think I've just about recovered from choking on that smoke!  ;D

As far as your taking charge ... I suspect most women like the man to ultimately 'pull the strings' / be the boss ... but I could get into trouble for making that observation.  ;D

oh yeah!! we sure did, didn't we. I'd forgotten all about that. not to open old wounds, but didn't it start when I did something harsh to your Baker's Dozen topic. was that us?  wow, seems so long ago. we've come along way, you and me.

Yes .. it was some time back .. over a year ago. Now that you mention it .... yes ..I'd forgotten about that 'Baker's' incident .. and I've just forgotten it again!  :)

We then got involved in a mock war ... myself representing 'post-whore misers' ... you ... the chief of the postwhores. Quite a high price to pay to choke on that cigarette in our 'pow-wow!'  ;D

As you can see though ... well .. my recent 'alter-ego' ... now sadly deceased  :\'(  ;D .. 'Doctor Fate' ... well ... wasn't TOO shabby as a 'postwhore'!  :D

maybe you could get into a little trouble, but I believe you are right. they do llikeus to take charge, at least most of the women I know. even at work, there are 3 regular work-babes i go to lunch with and have mini potlucks with and they seem to like me to make most of the decisions as to what our plans our for lunch. I've noticed that when I ask them what they want to do,  they put it back on me, so I have no problem calling the shots and they like it, I know Lady Di likes it, I dunno, maybe that's just the way we are wired and meant to be.

Yes... and following my experiment with 'post-whoring' ... I can now see how truly addictive it can be. No question, it is fun too.. but for my own good .. I think I need to abstain from it ... so I will mostly be a lot more sparing now ... though might on occasion flip back into 'pw' mode ...

As for the 'cause .... yes .... it's nice to go up a notch or two ... but I'm sure we all know by now that are current position ... isn't likely to alter too much from the range 850-870 ... where it's been for 'yonks'.

I'll just have the coca cola, I'll pass on the rum, thanks anyways.

Red Rum is the only horse in the history of the Grand National Steeplechase to win the race three times, and to make that feat further astonishing, he ran in it two other times and was second.
