When's the last time you were sick, what you were sick with, and how bad was it?

Touch wood, I've not had any 'real' illness for ages...

...just the odd cold here and there - and I eventually learned the lesson that, once I get a cold I stay at home!

The last REALLY bad one i had was Pnumonia for the 3rd time.

I've had em all but never get cold's. Literally.. if i'm ill.. i'm at death's door  ;D Thankfully i only get seriously ill maybe once every couple of years.

I have colds/allergies non stop.. it's annoying.

But I've never had a sickness worse than the flu

It doesn't matter when women are sick, they still have to mamage the household, take care of the kids, cook, clean etc

But when hubby gets sick, he stays in bed and expects me to cater to him, bring him a blanket, some orange juice, his medicine etc.

Ha ha, he wants that stuff he gets it himself because I refuse to cater to him.

the kids on the other hand, I will cater to, when they are sick.

I had a bad cold about two months ago.  It lasted about two weeks total, but for 5 days straight I was sneezing so much that I could barely keep my eyes open.  I literally could not go three minutes without having to wipe or blow my nose.  It was really annoying. >:(

The last time I was sick was the Tampa Bay/Oakland Super Bowl (I forget when it was, does anybody know?). I threw up across the kitchen (I had some REALLY good distance, it was actually pretty impressive) right as they kicked off. I felt so bad, because my parents had to take me to the hospital (I was throwing up blood), and they missed the Super Bowl.

I don't know - somehow I'm just never seriously ill.Last time I was sick enough to stay at home was over 4 years ago (bronchitis - I had to stay home for two and a half weeks). Before that, I can't remember. I'm not the kind to stay home when I have a cold, and I never have had a flu.

I haven't got seriously ill since... I got alcohol poisoning. So the only real illness I've had was self-inflicted.  ::)

Last summer in Mass., because of my terrible living conditions. I spent half of the summer living in the damp, cold, unfurnished basement of a beautiful house in Cape Cod. It was so bad down there that i lost half of my clothes and shoes to MOLD. I caught a respiratory infection twice. I'm also asthmatic, so that made things worse. As soon as I got over my first bout with it i got sick again because I was still down in the basement. I had to beg my "landlord" to let me sleep in her livingroom so i could get better. I missed two weeks of work. I should've went back to New York. >:(

I had a case of walking pneumonia in May.  I still had to work and had absolutely no sypmathy for the people that took it off because they had a cough. Wimps.

Just tonight.. puked.

In January of this year, I was out of work one day due to a throat infection, and before that in March of last year I passed out and had to see the doctor.

I've had the worst cold of my life this week. :(

I only got to go to my first two days of classes in college; I missed Wed-Fri. And because I'm so drained from barely eating the last 5 days, I'll be missing Monday's classes too.

I had strep throat last week. Nasty fever and headache that finally went away after three days and a cough that still lingers on. I hate it. I start coughing at the worst moments, like when the baby barely falls asleep or I'm trying to make small talk with a customer. Stupid body. ::)

The last time I was sick was last August. I started out with a UTI and since the meds I was on had no effect on me, it escalated into a kidney infection.

I spent a week in complete agony before finally breaking down and going to the hospital. I spent an entire day there...got sent home with Lortabs and antibiotics, then spent the next week in a drug induced haze.  :D 8)

I HATE the "post-infection" cough.  It just will not take a hint and die like the rest of the germs :(


I'm trying to kill it off with some heavy duty cough syrup, but the only thing I noticed happening is me getting a buzz from it. :D

The last thing I had was also a UTI. It was painful and I did get a mild fever (about 100 degrees), but luckily I caught it quick enough before it got out of control. That was probably about 2 months ago.

The last really bad thing I had was a bout of kidney stones....the pain was unbearable....I had to go to the hospital and they had to keep shooting me up with morphine....that felt good! :D

OH HELL YEAH! They stuck some Morphine patches on me after i had surgery on my side so that if i rolled over during the night.. i wouldn't bring down the house so to speak  ;D

They had to cut me open about 6 inches and pull a load of sheeshe out and then sew it back up. Hurt like hell but the Morphine pretty much zonks you out.

It's rarely I get sick, but I get colds ALL THE TIME!!! Last time I was sick was about a month ago... never did find out why...

Like I said, the toilet was too far off, but I just managed to reach the sink in the adjacent room. You know, the tiny little ones that are barely big enough for you to wash your hands in after you've had your pee or what. Imagine that being flooded with puke... :P
Needless to say the d*amn thing got clogged.

It nearly made me sick all over again.

Anyway, I went home after this event. I don't know how they cleaned up afterwards, but I've never heard anybody talk about it... :-[

This is pretty gross...but I remember one time, I was about 13 or so...I was laying in bed sleeping, and at the time I had one of those waterbeds with the headboard consisting of shelves and a mirror in the middle....well, I had the flu real bad...and all of a sudden, I woke up and felt like I had to puke, and it happened so quickly....I puked all over the bed...and the worst or funniest thing about it...was, I saw myself doing it in the mirror on my bed!!! :D ;D

I'll be suprised for when the winter comes again that I will wind up with once again another cold.

Last time I was sick....yesterday. I had a nasty sinus headache for most of the day that didn't go away until 9 P.M. my time. The day before yesterday, I was just completely getting rid of a cold that I'd had since last Thursday evening.

The last real illness I had was about 3 1/2 years ago.  A really bad case of the stomach flu.  Vomiting, weakness...the works.  It lasted one day so it could have just been a case of food poisoning.  I have had sore throats, headaches, coughs but nothing big.  And even that are few and far in between.

Last Sunday, I slept in for work, and I jumped out of bed that quickly, I almost made myself physically sick. The 4 1/2 hours sleep didn't help much either....

They don't have a cold.....my sister has allergies, my mom has bronchitis and my dad has a mild stomach bug.  I really hope I don't get a combo of all 3.

Tried McDonalds for the first time in about 3 years a couple of weeks ago and got sick in the stomach afterwards. Either a bad coincidence or there was something wrong with that burger. Either way I'm not eating the stuff again.  :P

I was sick in December. I had the works - sore throat, vomitting, coughing, fever, etc. I think I finally kicked it about two weeks later (I think I got sick on Dec. 11th)

I am touching wood in the hopes that i don't get sick.  Both my kids have been ill.  James is on some anti-biotics at the moment and I've got to decide tonight whether the swelling in the gland in his neck has gone down.  If it hasn't he's going to the docs tomorrow for a blood test.

I haven't been sick at all this year...but my parents have. In fact, both of them recently caught a cold. Actually, my dad caught it first, and then my mom caught it from him on Sunday (Mothers Day) :-\\ ...so I'm trying to avoid the germs!

My senior class had a "skip out" (ditch) day, but in my book it wasn't official. I went to school that day (as did some other members of my senior class) and nobody picked on me about that. They did pick on me about other things, though.

We had something of a "ditch day" during my senior year, too. However, not too many people actually participated in it.  ;D

...and like I said, it wasn't official...and ditching school for any reason counted as an unexcused absences, and I wanted to keep my record clean. So I was grateful to not get sick very much during my HS years.
