I went to Walgreen's today and there was Christmas stuff already piled high.  :o

The bar down the street had their green Christmas lights up and their inflatable Grinch and (as I recall) Santa Homer Simpson inflatable up the day I put my Halloween decorations on our porch (which was around Sept. 30th).  People were grumbling that I had my Halloween decorations up too soon.  I just wanted to decorate it while the weather was warm and not rainy. 

I'm not decorating the porch for Christmas.  Too cold, and it's not really our holiday so much.

That being said, believe it or not, I am actually DONE with my shopping-I did it back in May/June when Ben Franklin was going out of business-so I got a discount on everything. (Only got for the grandkids). There is one thing I need to get-a coin for the youngest. I always get a Silver Eagle for each of them which has their birth year on it. I tried to get it already but the U.S. has suspended the Eagle program for a bit because they ran out of silver.  :o :o :o :o  Hopefully, they will get some otherwise, I may need to get something else.  :-\\

Now that Halloween is over, Christmas decoratuions are up (in Canada.)

I haven't begun even thinking about shopping yet. I don't really plan to buy anything anyways.

The northernmost house on my side of the street has already put its decorations up...and we're not even into Thanksgiving yet! >:( I even saw them putting up their candycanes and lights the other day as I passed by the house. I was very tempted to say something, but I didn't even open my mouth becuz it wouldn't've been the right thing to do.

I hate to go into angry mode again...but why can't they wait till after Thanksgiving to start playing it? They seem to be doing it earlier and earlier every year, and to me that's just sad. :-\\

Yep, and I was giving an example of such a locality.

The only actual experience I ever had with snow was on Ash Wednesday in 1989. We received a decent amount in L.A. that day.

I consider the Christmas season to begin after Santa appears at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. That's just me, though.

But it doesn't have that Christmas-y feeling.


Maybe not to you but to those who don't get snow at Christmas it probably does feel Christmasy.

I love Christmas!  I already have my tree set up and all my presents are bought, placed under the tree.  I'm making all my cookies this weekend and building my first snowman to freeze and place on the lawn Christmas Day.  Going out tomorrow to find all my greens to display on the mantel.

I have to shovel,my Father has bursitis and arthritis and my Mother barely does it herself so I have to be the "man of the house".
