went to Subway picked up my lunch then went to Dunkin Donuts to pick up a buttered bagel with coffee for later in the evening.

This afternoon my mom and I had to go to a couple places. First, my mom had to have a blood test done at the UCLA Medical Center, so we went there via Highway 1 - the Pacific Coast Highway. It was a very scenic drive. 8) From UCLA (in Westwood), we had to go to an appointment that I had in Encino. We were gonna go up there via I-405, but that freeway is known to get quite backed up, so we used Sepulveda Blvd. instead. Had we tried the freeway, we probably would have been late for my appointment.

Went to church this morning, and then to Barnes & Noble to see about doing some holiday shopping. While I was there I saw two lady friends of mine who live in the area (and both attend the church I went to today, for the record).

That's nice; I'm sure they always appreciate the volunteers and the work they do. Ever since my temporary job ended this past summer, I've done a little bit of volunteering at my church office, too.

I still need to see one; it's been awhile since I last did so. I have a dental appointment later this month, but that's only for my mouth; the rest of me needs to be examined.

I can't beleive how flipping cold it is here. It was 11 degrees with the wind chill. I live in Texas! A few months ago it was 113 degrees in the summer and now this? I thought that since I lived in the South, I avoided this. IS Gore sure the polar ice caps are melting? Really?


I wish I was on a beach somewhere in the carribean, a drink with a tiny umbrella in it in my hand and wearing a swimsuit. (proably scaring people while I'm in the swimsuit...) Just warm and comfy...the scent of coconuts and limes in the air.

This morning I went around the community to see what businesses were around, to possibly inquire information about possible job opportunities local to me. When I got home I did some online research about these companies to see about possible jobs. I'll do more tomorrow, but probably won't go outside the house. I had one this morning...so I had to go there...in the rain... but all is well! I actually got there a few minutes early (before the time of my appointment), but they were able to see me right away and clean my teeth. I only took a half-hour in there.

I went out this morning to meet with my job developer/coach. We found a few online listings of places that I might want to apply to, but one of them did not have the name of the company listed (but did have the address). So I drove over to the address of this place and found out the company name. And when I got home, I looked up the company online...and to make a long story short, the company didn't sound like anything I wanted to apply to after all (due to some criticism posts that I found in the "feedback" section on the company's website).

So did I, after I was finished with volunteer work. My mom and I both went there, as we had plenty of groceries we needed to get. We ended up not getting back home until after 2:30pm; neither of us had eaten lunch yet, so after we put all the groceries away, we had a late lunch.
