Coffee is the world's most popular stimulant: 4 out of 5 Americans drink it, consuming more than 400 million cups a day. Consumption in Scandinavian countries is more than 12kg (26lb) per capita. With more than 25 million people employed in the industry, coffee is second only to oil in world trade.

Those corks must be dangerous. How could you be killed by one ? ???
1) Standing on a train platform, somebody cracks open the champagne ... it flies into your face .... and reeling.. you fall into the path of an oncoming train .... :\'(
2) You're on the high-wire ... without a safety net ... when a similar thing happens :\'(
3) You stand for a group pic at the top of Angel Falls, .... some clown opens the champagne .. hits your face again .... Goodbye ! :\'(
Well .... there's a few highly likely scenarios ! ;) :P

Did you know that in the United States, you can walk into a convenience store, or supermarket and buy a case of beer? Of course you did, but did you know you can't do that in Canada?
If you want beer in Canada, you have to go to a Liquor Store, or a store that sells only beer. The big one here in Ontario is called "The Beer Store" (formerly known as Brewers Retail)

This is not US-wide: for example, in Maryland and Pennsylvania you have to buy alcohol (of any kind) from package stores: "convenience" stores don't sell beer (which is highly inconvenient to me, lol). In VA, beer and wine can be bought almost anywhere, but liquor can only be bought for off premise consumption in state run stores.
sorry but i don't care :(
Sorry but you're banned again Darko. Actually, I'm not sorry. You must be the dumbest and most annoying fudgeing person in Oregon. People like you are the reasons abortions are legal and encouraged. Yeah, it's kinda crazy. I was in Baltimore last week, and it took me an hour to find beer. I'm glad I bought smokes in VA, because they are $4.86 a pack there ($2 more than here). Combined with their crappy roads and speed limits, indoor smoking bans and horrendous crime rate, Baltimore is the epitome of liberalism gone wrong. That place is so effed up I'm considering voting for McCain.
Did you know...

You're exactly right! It's weird, but dolphins rest quietly underwater while half of their brain remains alert, responding to their need to surface for air and to watch for predators. They have to be at a low level of consciousness to recognize that their blowhole is at the surface or they will drown. It's called "logging", but sounds more like catnapping to me. We learned this at the Florida Aquarium, I promise I didn't just make it up. ;)

Dreaming occurs in the R.E.M. stage (rapid-eye movement) of sleep, in which brain activity is high and signaled by rapid horizontal movements of the eyes. Sometimes dreams occur during the other stages of sleep; however, these are much less memorable and less clear. Dreams can last for a few seconds, or as long as twenty minutes. Dreams are a symbol and link to the inner core of the human subconscious. So, if you had a dream that you remember very clearly, chances are you were sleeping good! :)

As a joke one time when he was in 1st grade, I told Matthew if he put his spelling words list under his pillow and "slept on it", he would do well on the test the next day. He got an A on the test and sometimes I still catch him putting something he has to study under his pillow before bedtime. He truly believes that the knowledge is soaking into his dreams and he has no nerves taking tests now.
I'll have to break it to him that it's not real before he goes to college. Along with the real scoop on Santa and The Tooth Fairy. ::)

......that 22nd and 24th U S President Grover Cleveland had a rubber jaw? ???
Because of the financial depression of the country, Cleveland decided to have surgery performed in secrecy to avoid further market panic. The surgery occurred on July 1, to give Cleveland time to make a full recovery in time for the upcoming Congressional session. Under the guise of a vacation cruise, Cleveland and his surgeon, Dr. Joseph Bryant, left for New York. The surgeons operated aboard the yacht Oneida as it sailed off Long Island. The surgery was conducted through the President's mouth, to avoid any scars or other signs of surgery. The team, sedating Cleveland with nitrous oxide and ether, successfully removed parts of his upper left jaw and hard palate. The size of the tumor and the extent of the operation left Cleveland's mouth disfigured. During another surgery, an orthodontist fitted Cleveland with a hard rubber prosthesis that corrected his speech and restored his appearance.
