It could well be. Tempuratures vary quite a bit. In Denver a few years back they started taking the Downtown temp along with the one at the airport...that opened the door for "School net" stations all around in many cities. Our "Official" high at the airport yesterday was 92 and yet the west side of town...far from the airport, reported a high of 95....my house which is in between both locations had a high of 94. My mom is still stubborn and just goes by what they  say it was at the airport ::)
