That's more or less how things have been in So Cal this weekend. Although it was overcast in my area and it felt kinda cool.

After a rather chilly start it will be a fine and dry day with spells of sunshine. Feeling warmer with a light or moderate northwesterly breeze.

It's been a hot, sunny and humid day, but slowly clouds have been closing in for the past hours from the southeast. I can see it getting darker and darker, and I've heard some distant thunder already... Not sure if you can see it coming too (I'm living in the northest point of the northwestern peninsula)...

I'm preparing for some heavy rain & thunder, although the heaviest rain and thunder seem to be located in the centre of the country.

Turns out ... (and have JUST returned) .... wind still fierce ......that I saw ZILCH !

Dry, with a cold nip in the air.

It's been raining here continuously for the past 18 hours or so. :( I'm guessing this must produce one record or another (in inches/cm).


Today's newspaper had this confirmed. Last Sunday (October 5) we* had 90 mm of rain in a 24 hour period (00:00 to 24:00). That's a new record (previous record was "only" 73 mm).
And to put this in persepective for you all: this is about the average amount of rain we usually get in the entire month.


* That is: the city of Den Helder. Other places didn't get this much.

Well good things came from adversity if we put our faith in the Lord,

I can feel the cold now and do not like the idea of the frost.

It is trying to snow here is London, it is to wet on the ground for it to lay.

A little warm for this time of year but still nice, 84 degrees.

Cloudy this evening and much of the night with rain, sleet or snow spreading southeastwards, perhaps bringing a slushy covering over hills. However, clearer weather will edge southeastwards to most by morning with a frost and icy patches on roads.

They are calling for 4-8 inches tonight alone! Of course, it may not last but I have already had some fun in it! I took the dog out for her first ever encounter - which she went crazy over - and I shoveled the walkway! I know, as soon as the novelty wears off I will be cursing it!!! ;)

It keeps alternating between highs of 35 degrees to highs of 15 degrees - every few days! No wonder I've got a cold  ::)

I remember working outdoors some years back in mid-November....and it reached a top of 12 degrees...and poured aaaall day  :o

A chilly start, and perhaps bright in places. However, thickening cloud will spread rain northwestwards during the day, this becoming prolonged and at times heavy in many places this afternoon. Feeling cold in fresh to strong northeasterly winds.

This morning (and for a little while in the afternoon) we had some rain. The rain let up for a little while in the afternoon so that I could take my little dog for a walk.

It was certainly great to get a break from the above-normal temperatures. The heat just went on too long.

  Did indeed.  And we just had the roof fixed.  Leaked last winter around the chiminey.  Dude's looking at our roof only two weeks ago and tries to tell me the leak isn't rainwater but raccoon piss.  Jeez...

damn raccoons, I really need to get a silencer for my .22  ;D  so I didn't clean out the leaves from my rain gutters and I could hear the rain spilling over. do you use your fireplace much? we need to have our chimney cleaned. I got a guy that's done it for me a couple times, he's great.

The weather where I am now is dry, mostly cloudy and 48 degrees Fahrenheit, according to my Rolling Rock Beer thermometer that is hanging on the wall of my back porch, which is where I am sitting with my MacBook and a tall glass of Mountain Dew. Darkness is approaching since it is quarter to 5pm where I live, and the sunset is gorgeous.  :)

COLD!!!!  It is 27 degrees and just last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the weather was in the upper 70's lower 80's.....  The wind chill makes it even worse!

Cool with a few clouds in the sky, 57 degrees.

Today:
A windy day with long spells of sunshine. The early showers should clear this morning and then most of the day will be dry. It will feel cold in the wind.

Very wet, very windy, and about 42 degrees Fahrenheit now, according to my trusty Rolling Rock Beer thermometer. The newspaper in my town said that some streets could be flooded thanks to leaves clogging street drains. I don't think my street will flood since it goes downhill from where I live and because the only drain is at the intersection of my street and the major thoroughfare that is directly south of my house.

Most places dry but the odd shower is possible through the evening, mainly in the west, then a mainly dry night with clear spells. The strong westerly winds easing down.

Today:
Dry and bright at first in all parts, but cloud will increase through the morning with outbreaks of rain spreading across western areas by midday, and then to eastern areas during the afternoon. Freshening southwesterly winds.

A little warmer than usual, 72 degrees.

This weekend, the weather has been brutal. Temperatures close to 90 degrees F around my area. It's mid-November for pete's sake, not July. It's not supposed to feel like summer at this time of the year. >:(
