Went to Waffle House last night, ate a semi-decent meal.  Went to pay with the credit card, which the transaction went through ok but when the waitress went to print out the receipt to sign, the paper was jammed.  So she ran it through yet again  ???  ::) tried to print and it didn't print out.  Then she voided one transaction.  My hubby then went and got $20 out of the ATM and paid for the meal with cash.  This morning, the transaction shows up as a charge in our checking account/debit card.  So we paid for the same meal twice.  It was only $12, but still $24 for a light meal at Waffle House is ridiculous.  Next time - we will only pay with cash.  >:( >:(  ::)

If she wanted to do things with you, wouldn't you think she'd call you up or come over and say "Hey Howard, want to go do something?"  Or if you asked her if she wanted to do something, she'd say "Sure Howard!".  It's cool that she's hanging out with the girls on NYE, but so far all you've said is how you just talk on the phone.....if she wanted to do something with you....you'd think she'd ask.

I guess I should have given more info regarding the situation. This particular person DOES give nice gifts to select people....but apparently feels that other people only deserve used toys, even when we bought something really nice for their daughter. I mean, if you are going to give something used...the decent thing is to at least make sure it isn't broken/dirty/scratched/etc. :-\\
