Seems that Senator Jane orie is in deeper doo-doo than before.  Her initial case for msiappropriating the time of state employees ended in a mistrial when it was shown that evidence her lawyers presented were clear forgeries.  Now she's been charged with forgery, perjury, and evidence tampering.

i like the last one especially because she was obviously TRYING not to look like the antichrist incarnate, and yet still failing. seriously, it saddens me that she's probably going to jail for 10 years, had she played her cards differently she could have made a fortune in hollywood playing bellatrix lestrange or mrs. coulter from "golden compass." that's a one-in-a-million villain face right there.

Janine stands charged of campaigning for Joan whilst on the Commonwealth's payroll.  There's a grand Jury looking into Joan at the moment.  Janine worked in Joan's office but had to quit once she was indicted.  Such is the custom when your boss is a Supreme Court justice and your sister.  :P

And then there is sister # Four... Judith Orie who is a muckity muck at the West Penn Health System.

Yes, this is a real "Hatfields and McCoys" situation.  She's being prosecuted by District Atorney Steven Zappalla Jr., the member of another powerful Pennsylvania family.

Steven Jr. is the son of former Supreme Court Justice Steven Sr.  Senior's brother Charles is a big lobbyist turd whose clients are the casinos.  Jane Orie was not happy when Steve Sr was named president of the PA State Casino Association.  Meanwhile, Steve Jr's brother Greg is part owner in some rent-a-prisons that are involved in a scandal in which a couple of Pennsylvania juvenile court justices were convicted of sentencing juveniles to their places for kickbacks.  No charges filed against Greg so far though.

All that said... Jane was originally ratted out by one of her own office worklers.   :-X

Today the Superior Court rejected Jane's appeal to prevent her being retried after her forged evidence had caused her first trial to end in a mistrial.

Apparently if you fake evidence, and your trial ends in a mistrial, you cannot claim "double jeopardy" when you get tried again.  ;) ;D
