It appears that it is indeed legal for the State of Arizona to punish businesses that violate the law. Quite a novel concept.

I heard a lot of rednecks calling C-SPAN to kvetch about "illegal immigrants taking our jobs" this morning.
How do I know all angry white guys from the South are rednecks?
How do the rednecks know which Latinos are legal and illegal?
Even if E-Verify is reliable and even if all AZ businesses use it, there are still going to be angry white guys bellyaching about "illegal immigrants," which in the case of AZ is code for: People of Chicano origin who work for other white guys!
