I'm surprised they don't want to repeal:

19th Amendment-women votes
21st Amendment-Repeals the 18th-prohibition.
22nd Amendment-President term limits.
23rd Amendment-Wash. D.C. getting electoral votes (even though the Congress has denied them voting rights within the last month).
24th Amendment-Poll taxes (even though they don't like taxes, this is one they like because it prevents poor people from voting.)
And especially the 27th Amendment-which they have to wait for their pay raises until the session of Congress.

There is also Brown vs Board of Education that I'm surprised they don't want to appeal.

Also FDIC

I guess they haven't learned the lessons of the 20th Century. He who does study history is condemned to repeat it.

They don't want to get rid of the 21st because they love to drink, the 22nd must stay just in case a popular Democrat gets the Presidency (they don't want another FDR after all), the 23rd is just a formality, the 24th--whatever hurts the poor is good to the GOP, and the 17th amendment--as long as corps are getting tax cuts they can wait for their pay. Corporate tax breaks are the most important thing in this world.

As to that pesky 19th amendment? Hop on the Tea Party Express and you can help them eventually take down that piece of big government!
Did you know COMMUNISTS wanted women to have rights in the USSR? We can't let women having voting rights, it's Socialism!

If we get a compromise that the over 50 aren't allowed to vote either ;P.
There goes the GOP's voting bloc.

Not sure age has anything to do with being too ignorant to vote - ISTR a survey in 2004 which showed in excess of 70% of Republican voters believing that Bush's policies were different to what they actually were... they couldn't all have been 18-year-olds

They weren't all 18, but they were all Republicans

basically that seems to hold true no matter who is elected... their supporters never know the actual stance of the politician on the issues they care about. Let alone their actual voting record on the issue for the incumbents.  just the tired slogans they tend to ignore once elected.

Wait, I'm (well) over 50, and I'm further to the left that anyone on this board, and many of my older friends are on the same side.  I'm not ready to start a guerrilla foco in the Green Mountains yet, but I'll do my part.  Two things I gotta say, DON"T MESS WITH MY SOCIAL SECURITY, and DON'T MESS WITH THE MEDICARE I am about to get (now you know my age, big whoop), and that sentiment is just about universal with those of us in our mid sixties and beyond - and yes, we vote.
