Subject: 2008 Republican Candidates

Written By: Indy Gent on 11/05/04 at 1:06 am

Again, 4 years.

Sorry, I had to add Mc Cain, then reset. Could you please re-vote? :-[

I picked other: Richard Lugar, although I don't think anyone will agree with me.

Well, there are 3 that you forgot:

Elizabeth Dole
Anne Coulter
Condeliza Rice

I would love to see Dr. Rice take on Hillary in 2008.  :D

I don't see Libby Dole throwing her hat in the ring. Anne Coulter, too much negative press. Dr. Rice, Colin Powell or Tom Ridge, maybe.

Anne Coulter, too much negative press.

Maybe so, but the liberal press is always negative towards Republicans ::)

Sorry, but Colin Powell is not eligable to be President.

Just like Arnold, he is not a native born citizen.

I just put those there in case Dubya rescinds the amendment that prohibits foreign born citizens from running for President.

That's why there's an "other" option.

You also forgot Rudy Giuliani, too.

I voted McCain. McCain is the only Republican I have ever encountered who I would ever consider voting for.

Plenty of good choices:

Rudolph Giuliani
John McCain (not my first pick)
Arnold Schwarzenegger (if the constitution is changed)
Mitt Romney (my favorite)
Bill Frist

Heck, since we are being somewhat silly here, why not George Bush Senior?

It would not be the first time a former president has run again.  Teddy Roosevelt did it under his "Bull Moose" party.  And Grover Cleveland actually won in 1892, after loosing reelection in 1889.  And coincidentially, in 1888, he won the popular vote, but lost the electoral vote to Benjamin Harrison.

Mitt Romney is my guess.  He has the looks, charm, and most of all the money.  The fact that he
hasn't done much but pose for the camera during the past two years will not have any bearing
on his prospects.

(Notice the new signature?)

It looks like Mitt Romney may take up a cabinet spot for Bush's second term, which will help his chances of getting the republican nomination in 2008!

I haven't any doubt that that is what he aspires to.  We also knew that he would bail just like the past
"committed to Massachusetts" Republican Governors.  Bill Weld bailed for a failed attempt at an
ambassadorship under bush1, Cellucci bailed after an appointment to Canada, Jane Swift was
mugged in the alley by Willard(call me Mitt)"I will not run if she decides to run(flip)"Romney,
and now he (no I'm not going to leave, flop)appears to be bailing.  So that bastion of liberalism that
you so love to revile has had 4  consecutive Republican governors pull  out for self serving
reasons(Jane bailed when given an $$offer$$ she couldn't refuse).

Venture Capitalists are not my idea as a candidate of choice.  Just because he lives in my
house doesn't mean I enjoy his presence.

Max probably wouldn't vote for ANY republican...just as you probably would never vote for a Democrat.

I have, and it wouldn't surprise me if Max has also.  I would never go for Mitt though. His business,
venture capitalism, was buying up small companies, firing the workers, hiring back at less pay with
fewer benefits, and pocketing the difference.

Exactly, he's another grinning fascist, like Rudy G., but not so liberal on the social issues.  I despise Romney as much as anyone can despise an elected representative and stay on the right side of the law!

Hang on, that's not true. Colin Powell was born in New York:

Secretary Powell was born in New York City on April 5, 1937 and was raised in the South Bronx. His parents, Luther and Maud Powell, immigrated to the United States from Jamaica.

I just got a short e-mail from the GOP which shows the eight very likely candidates in 2008, the e-mail even went so far as to say that there is a 99% chance that one of these eight will be the republican nominee in 2008.  So here you go:

1.Majority Leader Bill Frist
2.Colorado Gov. Bill Owens
3.Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney
4.Florida Gov. Jeb Bush
5.Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani
6.New York Gov. George Pataki
7.Virginia Sen. George Allen
8.Arizona Sen. John McCain

Maybe so, but the liberal press is always negative towards Republicans ::)

What liberal press?  Unless you show utter subordination to the Republicans and lash out with fierce vitriol against Democrats and Liberals, you are called part of the "liberal media."  The Republican party is rapidly degenerating into the party of the christo-fascists.  The will brook no opposition.

Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity are sick individuals.

The Republicans have no business using the name of Jesus Christ with the way they act.  Anyway, the poll is moot for me.  Within three years the christo-fascists will so dominate the party, only extremists will have a chance at the Presidential nomination.

RED IS THE COLOR OF AMERICA SLITTING ITS OWN THROAT.

I still don't get this list.  Rush Limbaugh?  Sean Hannity?  Ann Coulter?  Yeah, I'm sure they will run for President of the United States of America.

IMHO, this question might only be valid if there is a USA in 2008(if it isn't taken over or destroyed by then)...  9_9

*this is actually aimed at both Republicans and Democrats, and everyone inbetween.

Methinks the USA has already been taken over by a cabal of greedy businessmen and religious quacks who worship the Gilded Elephant.

Pat likes the Jews because they're the flintlock of armageddon.  When they all return to Israel, Jesus comes back, converts them all to His flock, takes them and the rest of the Righteous to heaven, sends all of us wicked sinners to hell, and then torches the whole place!

How about them green apples?  More fun than believing in a drag like evolution, aint it now?
