It is an old joke, too. they realy are kinds losing their sense of humor which makes me fear and loathe the
thought of them having control of the House, Senate, and White House, especially with the tenuous
situation on the Supreme Court. ???

Clearly a joke, like the one I told a few days ago. "Its national delare your support day. Kerry supporters are asked to drive with their headlights on during the day, Bush supporters are asked to drive with their headlight OFF at night."
On the other hand, I recently read, but can't find either a link or the article, that a group in I think Detroit, claiming to be the "league of Black Voters" put out a flier advising that if you, or anyone in your family, has commited a felony, you can't vote. If you have gotten a traffic ticket, you can't vote. If you voted in another election this year, you can't vote. So it looks like the Repubs are grasping at straws and are willing to lie, cheat, and steal this election like they did in 2000.
If this is successful, there must be a response. I invite our conservative friends to, first, repudiate these tactics no matter where they originate, as I do, and second, to prepare to oppose an illigitimate presidancy, no matter who gets it. The health of our democracy is more important than the election of any specific candidate. Conservatives, will you join in the protection of democracy, or are you so caught up in partisanship that you cannot see the broader implications?
