It seems to me of late, many people who post on this political board (and you know who you are), have been keeping things extremely light, making jokes, etc. Conservitives and Liberals, whether we agree or disagree, many of us do have a sense of humor and have been showing it. I really appreciate it. Even though some of the stuff we do discuss are serious topics, it does help to lighten things up a bit. So, we go off the topic a bit but I have to say that I think it is great. I just want to tell everyone THANKS and please keep it up. I would rather joke about things than get into major arguements. It really makes discussing politics very fun.

I agree with you, Cat.  It is nice that we can all be polite even though we disagree.  I don't like it when it turns into name calling.

I seem to piss people off so much so, that they say things like I have my foot in my mouth...maybe I should stay out of the politcs :-[

Heck, my 50-year-old brother got involved in the Republican party and went so far to the extreme right, they've taken him off of their mailing list and will not return his calls any more.  (He has not learned that the art of politics does involve at least SOME level of compromise).

I tried to tell him but he would not listen!  ::)
