I've been on a Simon/Garfunkel kick and listened to all of their studio albums today.

Also, I heard Gwen Stefani's debut and No Doubt's rarity collection.

I was listening to an ABBA cd that my friend's daughter gave to me, it has about 5 songs on it and i don't know the record title  :-\\

I heard Beethoven's 4th Piano Concerto from this album today.

That album always makes me think of a review I read in a book where a music critic panned that album cover, asking "Where do those hallways lead to?  Why is that bloke's face upside down?  Who is that guitarist?  Is he any good?" LOL

lol You are right about that (on both counts)!  We had so many problems right before she went to college and now things are great.  She drove me to the ER on Thursday and stayed with me, came back and spent the night after she went to a Halloween party and has spent the weekend with me.  I know part of it is because she has bronchitis and wanted to lay low from her friends, but the fact is that we have had a great time together this weekend.

I got a deal on I Am...Sasha Fierce by Beyonce the other day at Best Buy so I bought and listened to that.

Got a new cassette adapter today for my shanty classic GM stereo for my truck so I could once again listen to CDs.  I listened to a mix CD I made a while back of 80's progressive/alternative dance music...so far I've heard

Daddy's Gone is an absolute beautiful song.  The moment I heard it, I rushed out and bought a hard copy of the CD.  I haven't heard a debut album this good since 2005's 'Employment' by Kaiser Chiefs 8)

Hmmm, i've heard a few which have been out since then. Los Campesinos! debut album 'Hold On Now, Youngster..." is one of the strongest I own I think. And then there's Foals debut album which came out this year. MGMT, Vampire Weekend are 2 more bands who made strong debuts this year. And then there's Jamie T and The Klaxons from last year and bands like The Fratellis, Maximo Park, Hard-Fi, Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian who all burst onto the scene and made names for themselves at same time as Kaisers or have made them since

Just a shame so few of the bands i've listed managed to successfully follow-up their strong debuts (Kaisers included - their latest two albums have been pap)
