I'm pretty sure they will, so far the supermarket is looking pretty good, didn't get to see much this morning, they're still doing a bit more constructing and moving around a lot plus there are a load of more carts so that will keep me busy all day, We'll have to see what tomorrow brings.  :)

This is the new Stop N Shop cart, they're all metal but the problem is they sway a lot so it gets a bit difficult to control them but give it some time and I'll be a pro at it.

Today went pretty well, it was sure a busy day on the grand opening of Stop N Shop, I definitely had my hands busy with a lot of carts today and with everyone shopping it was a bit hard to control the crowd. The bad thing is I wanted my Stop N Shop discount card but us workers have to wait 90 days for our probation period to end, that's the way it goes, unfortunately. Anyway that's about it, I'm sure there will be more stuff to do tomorrow. :)

Nothing much has changed except the aisles, we got brand new metal wagons with a cup holder which you can put coffee or can of soda into, a hand dryer, a brand new coffee machine since there wasn't enough room to put a Starbucks, brand new cash registers, brand new U-Scan machines and more tight security.

It's almost the first week of the new Stop N Shop and let me say it's a much big improvement from what Pathmark was before. Stop N Shop is much neater while Pathmark was a bit sloppy so this is definitely a good change. :)

OK, work has been pretty busy lately, they're getting ready for the school season and also the autumn season too as well. These past couple of months the company have been hiring more new young kid cashiers and they've also hired one new cart attendant to add to the list, he starts this Saturday coming up, he'll be doing the night shift. And also for me, things have been "status quo" as of late.

Pretty good LB can't complain, just trying to keep busy on the days when I am working, It is so cold now outside that I have to try to take multiple breaks just to warm up, but the problem is that there really isn't many places to warm up. And this coming April will make it 12 years that I've been doing carts.

Nope LB unfortunately they haven't, we have to still use our physical force to push the wagons, that company is so lazy, there is no heat in the breakroom, the water fountain is dirty and full of bacteria and they have a phone that doesn't work anymore. ::)

Now that the plastic bag ban is in effect, now my Stop N Shop got rid of the brown baskets that people carry around, they are gone temporarily because someone had told me customers kept stealing the purchases without paying and bringing the brown baskets to their cars, I work in lowlife neighborhood where theft happens once in a while.

Yes, by the cashiers they have plexiglass and also customer service too, they also have arrows for which customers should follow.

When I was in the meeting with The Union Rep and My Father yesterday, the store manager said that I was caught by Loss Prevention and once you're caught by an outside company, you're pretty much done.  :(

I have a meeting with Human Resources and The Union Rep either on Monday or Tuesday, at this point I believe I'm going to be let go so once that happens, they'll put up my 14 years as an employee and then file for temporary unemployment. :(

My Father And I are still waiting for a call from My Union Rep, maybe Cat was right, it could be that I'm on "administrative leave" and that I might need to stay home until they finish this investigation whenever that'll be but other that, My Father is a bit frustrated and so am I.  :(

I just got the call from the store manager at about 1:30pm today and my good news is that I start as a beginning trial this Thursday, Friday And Saturday 10-2, I'm so excited that god gave me a second chance to go back to work again and My Brother would be proud too as well, thanks guys for giving me the encouragement. :) 

So, this Thursday I will most likely get the new schedule, the work shirt, badge and the website where My Father And I can check my paystub amount.  :)

Yes, Stop N Shop was close to 80 minutes back and forth and King Kullen is about 35-40 minutes back and forth maybe a bit more.

I'm on my 3rd day at work over at King Kullen, it got very busy today and I'm off until Wednesday and right now the hours will be between 4-5 hours sort of like a trial period and then once in the next few weeks maybe months the manager will give me more hours.

I'm on my 3rd day at work over at King Kullen, it got very busy today and I'm off until Wednesday and right now the hours will be between 4-5 hours sort of like a trial period and then once in the next few weeks maybe months the manager will give me more hours.

It's just so new to me right now but the neighborhood I know because I was there when I worked for Pathmark then they transferred me to Pathmark on Atlantic Avenue which is now A Stop N Shop.

This Thursday is payday and I can't wait to get my first paycheck at the new store.  :)

Thursday is payday and that's a good thing after working hard, right now I'm just given easy hours but as soon as the weeks and months go by, I may be given more. I can remember when I was working at Stop N Shop and they gave me 7-8 hours one day and that was pretty exhausting, working 4 hours is much better for me. 

Tomorrow I am looking forward to my first paycheck at King Kullen.  :)

I just got paid today and it definitely feels good to get paid for a job well done.  :)

Right now, I'm still trying to learn the tasks but eventually I'll pick them up within the next few months or so.

Just yesterday I got praised by the other cart attendants and that's what saying about my work performance. They've been been there for 2 years and I learned the tasks pretty quickly.  :)

Thanks, I'm so glad to be back in that neighborhood, it's like an old friend you haven't seen in over 10 years but it's glad you came to visit, the parking lot is cleaner, customers seem to be a bit friendlier and the stores are much different over there.

Yes they will but I am off Tomorrow, Monday And Tuesday and right now I am getting a "training" schedule and that's probably how it's going to be probably for about a month until I am able to get more hours.

I was told by one cart attendant that a few of the guys will be leaving the job to pursue other opportunities later on in life and that would probably leave the manager scrambling for other workers that would fill the job slot but they know that they can count on me to do the tasks, I have 15 years experience.  :)

Yes I did just last week I hit one month at King Kullen and so far I'm doing really well, taking care of the bottle and can machines, cart retrieval and taking out the garbage too once in a while. I especially like these customers cause they are much nicer than where I use to work plus they're friendly too. :)

I don't think so, In King Kullen, they don't really have any specials except on occasions and if you're looking for a discount card they don't have them so you might need to either pay for it or use your foodstamps.

Here in Picksburgh we have the Giant Iggle grocery chain, where you get ‘points’ that you can use to get discounts on gasoline at their GetGo gas stations.  8)

So far I'm doing well at my new place, lately I've been doing the carts, maintaining the bottle and glass machines, taking out the trash and sweeping up as much as I can. In the next few months a few more cart attendants will be moving on from carts for good to pursue other interests since the majority of them are in their late teens early 20's so the store manager better start hiring more people.

Everything's going well over there, I've been there a year and a half now, time flies. :)

And the problem with this supermarket they don't have discount cards, you know the cards you slide down the U-Scan machine, it's either money, credit cards or food stamps.

An operator may monitor and take control of the robot remotely in certain situations that the robot cannot resolve by itself such as when it is stuck in an obstacle. Delivery robots can be used in different settings such as food delivery, package delivery, hospital delivery, and room service.

I swear the cartmen at Wal-Mart and Giant Iggle here in Picksburgh intentionally hide them because they are probably a pain to get back to the corral. I like using the smaller ones but rarely can find one where I can grab it.

I don't think they have smaller wagons just the ones we have right now are the bigger ones.
