Subject: What would surprise us about you?

For me...I have been diagnosed with OCD, and even though I put on a happy face, and most people think I am very bubbly, inside, I am not all that happy.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the sugar began to take hold...

We had two bags of candy, seventy-five pellets of sugar cubes, five sheets of high-powered button candy, a saltshaker half-full of sugar, and a whole galaxy of multi-colored punch, soda, lemonade, cupcakes... Also, a quart of ice cream, a quart of yogurt, a case of pie, a pint of raw sugar, and two dozen cookies.

The only thing that really worried me was the sugar. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a pony in the depths of a sugar binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

How long could we maintain? I wondered. How long until one of us starts raving and jabbering at this colt? What will he think then? This same lonely desert was the last known home of the Mare-nson family; will he make that grim connection when my attorney starts screaming about bats and huge manta rays coming down on the car? If so, well, we’ll just have to cut his head off and put it in a bed somewhere, ‘cause it goes without saying that we can’t turn him loose. He’d report us at once to some kind of outback Neigh-zi law enforcement agency and they’ll run us down like Diamond-dogs. Celestia, did I say that? Or just think it? Was I talking? Did they hear me?
Anyways. I, umm. I watch that show about ponies. Which might not surprise anyone here, but it would sure surprise the hell out of my cow orkers.

I agree with you there. I try not to follow party lines either, and vote with my gut. I tend to vote Democratic, but occasionally I will prefer a Republican candidate. I voted for John Huntsman both times he ran for governor of Utah. He is amazing. I wish he were the Presidential candidate instead of Romney.

Marilu Henner (who used to play on Taxi) has the same ability. No matter what day you mention, she can tell you what she was doing. It's a skill that's a little foreign to me, since I rarely remember what happened last week, let alone a random day 30 years ago. :-\\

I am quite talkative myself, depending on circumstances...but if I'm around other people, then I will want to socialize in one way or another. As for typing, I'm really good at it (better than I was 15 years ago when I took my typing class), since I do it pretty much on a daily basis.

I'm guessing that it's only under certain circumstances though, like... oh I dunno... a relaxing vacation with nice weather on a beach. If you had to just walk around with sand in your mouth every day in cold Pennsylvania, it would be rather bothersome. I'm thinking anyway. I might be wrong. ;) ;D

I have E.S.P. and can tell what people are thinking without really knowing it.
Example: We had a bunch of people over for dinner (a Chinese dish). As we had just sat down and everyone was digging in, I realized that the soy sauce wasn't on the table (something that I don't usually use). When I put it on the table, one of our guest said, "I was just thinking of that." My youngest step-daughter (who was there at the time) said, "I really hate when she does that."
Sometimes I can tell who is calling when the phone rings-before looking at the Caller I.D. There have been several times when I will call someone and they will say, "I was just thinking about you."

Haha, that reminds me of a joke Foo Bar:
A bloke walks into the pub with a crocodile and the bartender says; "get it out!"
The bloke says; "It's harmless and does tricks."
The bartender says; "Tricks, you barmy sod? Get it out!"
The bloke says; "Calm down, you'll live longer. You haven't seen the trick yet and I'll prove the crocodile is harmless at the same time."
The bloke holds the crocodile's mouth, puts his penis in it, leaves it in there for a couple of minutes, gets a piece of wood out of his back pocket and bangs the crocodile over the head with it. The crocodile flinches but doesn't bite his penis off.
The bartender says; "Bloody hell! You've got some bottle to do something like that."
The bloke said; "I told you it was good. To prove my point further, would anybody in the pub like to try it for £50."
A little old woman comes up to him and says; "I'll try it but don't hit me on the head as f**cking hard as you hit that crocodile."

Before I flushed I whipped out my phone and took a picture of it, and then after I walked out of the bathroom I went over to my brother and said, "Hey, check this out," and handed him my phone.
He said,
Oh Jeez! ;D

Haha, that reminds me of a joke Foobar:
To prove my point further. Would anybody in the pub like to try it for £50."
A little old woman comes up to him and says; "I'll try it but don't hit me on the head as f**cking hard as you hit that crocodile."
The little old lady hit the nail on the head, or vice versa, or something like that, or bit off more than she can chew or...I just can't get anything right this morning. :-\\
Nevertheless, Karma #1000 for you!

And yes, I actually made Howard cringe. Never thought it could be done...

Well, it's something I've advised other people against. It's the double standard. If somebody hacks in to a secure site and spreads a woman's nude pictures all over the Internet, it's much more damaging. I suppose if I'm running for governor and somebody recognizes me from that adult dating site, they could leak the pictures and destroy my campaign. Otherwise, meh. I'm not too worried about it. I wouldn't make such pictures available on a text or a non-secure site. What happens to attractive women is sites will use or sell their images to for promotional material or to pay-sites without permission or compensation. The don't do that with dudes, unless the dude is exceptionally hot, in which case he's probably in the modeling business anyway!

A Baptist minister, a Catholic priest, & a rabbi went skinny dipping in the woods. After they came out of the water and before they could get their close on, some women from the village came by. The minister & the priest covered their privates with their hands but the rabbi covered his face with his hands. After the women went by the minister & priest asked the rabbi why he covered his face. I am not talking about those high pitched whistles (which I can't do), but whistling to a song. There are certain songs that I can whistle to which I think I can do pretty good-the interludes to the following songs:
-California Dreamin',

-Nights in White Satin

I'm usually to busy singing to try whistling. Maybe I ought to try whistling to something like turn the page. Probably wouldn't have enough breath to whistle the music and sing, but I can try it one day. Freeze frame would be fun to try too. Here's my answer to not being able to play an instrument.

I've been complimented more than once on my singing but it has to be the right song. And I have to sing with the song. I can match many pitches (mimicry) but I can't hold a tune, on my own, to save my life. Yet if there's music playing I will sing every word...I don't care who can hear or where I am. A bit about my family/childhood:
My Mom's Family- I get along with the majority of my relatives but we just don't see each other much. I adore my grandparents and they helped raise me. Some of my cousins were my best friends growing up but sadly we don't talk because of the lifestyles they have chosen. I have one younger sister (by 4 years). We usually get along. She's married and loves animals just as much as I do.
My Father's Family - I don't know any of them. Those I have met I choose not to speak to. It's a sad messed up story that I won't get into. I hadn't been close to my dad since I was young. He has since passed away.
More Random Facts:
-I can't recall a time when I didn't have a pet.
-Growing up I would go to the zoo every weekend.
-My favorite kind of gum is 5 Cobalt.
-I'm not a fan of camping and hiking.
-Just seeing a spider on television gives me goosebumps.
-I have never been married but I have been in a several relationships.

Same here but for me it is not just "playing," even though I do that, also. But, part of our "business" is on-line via eBay. Also, I am helping my sister with research about a project she is working on. Also, I am shopping for "stuff" for the new house. Last week it was stuff for the kitchen, today it is a new door. Can you say "multitasking"?

I have to clarify things here. It wasn't a mass suicide-it was a mass murder. Most were shot with needles full of poison in the back of their shoulders.

Oh thanks Cat. They didn't mention that on the documentary. (Why didn't you say that Soledad O'Brien?) I heard one guy who survived it say that they were putting the syringes in babies mouths. :(
I just don't get how some people can just follow a false prophet like that and die or let thier babies die because of him. I couldn't do it. And I damn sure wouldn't do it to my baby. I'm too stubborn, bull-headed and strong willed. I argue, that's me. LOL.

Most didn't have a choice. They were forced-which is why they were murdered and not committed suicide. There BIG mistake was following that @sshole down to South America-but they shouldn't have died for making that mistake. There were few who managed to escape.

When I was a kid, I was over at my best friend's house. She said, "Here, want a cookie?" Of course I said sure. I took a bite of it and it tasted 8-P I said to her that it didn't taste very good. THEN she told me it was a dog biscuit. THANKS A LOT!!!! I thought you were my friend. The thing is, she loved them and ate them all the time so when she gave it to me, she wasn't trying to be funny, mean, or whatever. In her mind, she was being nice by giving me a cookie.

I learned when I was 12 and loved it but by the time I became an adult I stopped riding them because I just wasn't as interested. With that being said, the last time I tried to ride one I couldn't balance on it. So I guess its possible to forget how to ride one. :-\\

I got my first bike at age 6, and of course it had training wheels on it.. and at the time I honestly didn't know how I could ever learn to balance on it without 'em... but I eventually was able to do it. In addition, I outgrew that bike quickly but didn't get another one until I was 11, and I had a great time with that one. However, I got rid of it at age 16, which is a little more than half my life ago now, but I don't think I've forgotten how to ride one.

Well, I wasn't allowed to ride a bike because my parents thought I'd get run over. Once my dad was working at a friend's house and I kept trying to ride the son's bicycle. I must have smashed into the back fence in the yard a good dozen times before I gave it up. I have always had terrible balance.

I had similar views on the original Parent Trap movie, from 1961. The first time I saw it was on TV about 20 years ago. I wondered how the same actor could appear more than once in the same scene/shot; I suspected maybe there might be a "double" who'd do that work.

I can actually explain this. With my DVD there was a bonus documentary explaining how they double shot was done in 1961. Basically, they did have a body double for Hayley Mills--you can see the back of her head/body in most shots when Hayley is talking to her "sister". And they would shoot around the girl when both would have to be onscreen. In shots where the two twins were together (like when they sing "Let's Get Together") it was shot twice, once with Hayley as one twin and again with her as the other and both pieces were spliced together with coordinating audio.
Midway through the filming though was a problem because Hayley, in her early teens at the time, started to "develop" and they had to pad the other actress to match her figure. LOL.
I beleive the same variant was used in the Lilo version. I saw a behind-the-scenes vingnette was back in 1998, and very vaugely remember them showing how they double shot a scene with Lindsay.

A kid I went to school with did this. He was joking but I don't know how long he got suspended for.
I don't know when that kid did it, but I let my big mouth get my ass in trouble. It was in 2002, when 9/11 was still a fresh memory and threat and I should have known better. But in my math class, I have a little nervous, anxious teacher anyway. So during the lesson, a boy joked that this girl had a gun in her purse. The teacher made her dump its contents on the desk--including some feminine items which embarassed her--and then my damn mouth flew open.
Ribbing my friend ahead of me, I JOKINGLY said "I'm gonna blow up the school next month." I laughed, she laughed, my teacher wasn't laughing.
Long story short, I'm in the principal's office, with the principal, my teacher and a flashlight cop filling out a police report. My father was en route to pick me up. And I will never forget it because it was November 20, 2002, the same day my mother got her first leg amputated, so she was laid up in the hospital while I was getting suspended (I was supposed to go to juvie, but I cried my way out of it. And the ticket, and the fine.) I spent the next ten days watching MJ--Daddy didn't even punish me.All he said was "Why the hell did you say that?" I said "I don't know". And Mom NEVER knew about it. :)
