The Los Angeles area has such a station (namely KCBS-FM, 93.1). While I don't much care for the format overall, I do like the wide variety of music they have. The station in my area plays stuff from five different decades (60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s!).

Agreed. If I had my own radio station, my playlist would be so extensive that you could never hear the same song(s) twice in one day, let alone in one week. I like variety. O0
