When I was in first grade, I used to stare at the school janitor in sheer amazement. Seriously. Then I remember wanting to be a QVC representative.

Then it was Photojournalism, and I'm sticking with that.

A waitress and/or a ballerina.

I'm a stay-at-home-mom...but before that I worked in banking.  I was never a waitress or a ballerina.

I wanted to be a marine biologist.  I am presently human.

Can't remember for sure, but I'm pretty sure truck driver was on my list. Been there, done that.

With me it went through stages;

4-6...Garbageman

7-11...Fireman

12...Welder

14+...Drummer (side job)

I am now a Welding Specialist and Inspector so at least one of my choices panned out.

I worked in a library for 14 years, some of that was doing secretarial-type stuff like typing and filing and answering phones.  So I guess I lived my dream.

I never had an ambition to be anything, growing up...though I'm studying for a town planner, and I sort of fancied myself designing cities.etc - the problem is, about 1% of our job as planners is actually designing cities. It's still something I'm happy doing...Although music is still my number one passion.

An actress-this lasted from the time I could remember until about my mid-20s.

A teacher-went to college to get my teaching certification (which I still have but don't use it).

A writer-I have writen a children's story but it still needs to be cleaned up and look for an agent/publisher.

And of course, I wanted to be rich and my own boss.  ;D ;D  I thought about the idea of what others had already said, find some old, rich fart-give him the best (and last) 6 months-a year of his life and he would leave me EVERYTHING. But then I met Carlos first.  ;D

I once told my dad that I had a plan where I would never have to work again in my life. He told me it was a pipe dream. Well, I am proof that pipe dreams can come true. I live a VERY priviliged life and I LOVE IT!!!!

the best part about that field is experience is more important than a certificate or diploma...if you can do it, you can get the work. :)

I wanted to be a writer, a flight attendant, an interpreter at the U.N., a counselor, a pastor, a music teacher, and a performing artist (actor, singer, dancer, etc.). 

Except for the flight attendant and the interpreter, I've done all of these things in one form or another.  And now I sell pianos.

For quite a while (still in fact) I wanted (and want to be) a cop.
I like the idea of actually doing something as opposed to pushing paper around.

I wanted to be a farrier when I was young, I've always had horses and figured it looked like easy work. When I was about 15 I actually went and worked with the Farrier who shooed our horses for a couple of days. I loved the work but unfortunately, it's not exactly the kind of business where there can be many of you doing it. From what I can see there's generally one for every 50-100 square miles seeing as he is unlikely to have more than one or two calls per day,
Basically, you apprentice for him until he retires or dies, then you do it.

I wanted to be a football player but a rather horrific knee injury took care of that. In a bizare and most unfortunate situation one of my best friends as a kid, Luke, actually signed on with Nottingham County and then just 5-6 months later suffered the almost exact same injury as I had.. that was his career over in a hurry.

I had no real career in mind 'till I was 11 or 12. Before that, my main interests were video games and music, so someone who knew me as a kid probably would've thought I'd do something relating to that.

I guess I always sorta wanted to be an "entertainer" in some fashion - starting with being inspired by guys like Weird Al, Gallagher, Jerry Seinfeld and Ernest. For the last few years I've done school and community plays and other performances, so I guess I've kinda accomplished it (though it ain't anywhere near an occupation yet! lol).

I seem to remember at one point in my life wanting to be a teacher...especially one for math, since I enjoyed that subject...but there were some things about teaching that I didn't really wanna pursue, so I decided to "let go" of that, too.

I have over 200 music CDs and cassette tapes sitting on my shelf.

That's nice. I don't have very many of either one...but I do have plenty of VHS tapes.

However there are several music albums that I think I'd like to get someday. I've thought about it. The interesting thing about buying music albums is that you get to hear all the tracks from the performer, not just the hits.

My problem is, the CD player I have, quit working properly a few years back. But the tape player and the radio (which are also part of the unit) work just fine.
