OMG...I hate that! Chris is usually okay when it comes to stuff like that...but again, my dad gets SO mad when things don't work out...and it becomes everyone's fault BUT his own. ::)

I can tell my boyfriend kinda is eying me whenever I park my car at his place. He lives on a hill and so when I park on the street I have to make sure to curve my wheels in when parking downward and curve the wheels out when parking upward and I do it, but sometimes the rear of my car sticks out too far and that's when he's got to start directing me.. I guess it kinda aims at my pride eventhough I know he's helping me.. lol.

OMG!  It's not just mine.....does yours seem to think you're his "gopher" as well?  Mine will tell me he needs a screwdriver or wrench or something, then get mad when I bring him the wrong one.  It's really bad when he insists something is somewhere and I go looking and it's not there so I take a bit longer, then he comes out all pissed and  it's never HIS fault that it's not where he thought it was (like I move things around just to piss him off) >:(

haha yeah... but I've learned to use the tape measure before buying furniture... it saves everyone alot of hassle.  But I only learned this after many adventures of moving furniture :)

My husband insists on leaving the toothpaste, shaving cream and deodorant on the counter.  He says it's too much of a hassle to take it out of a drawer everyday. ::)  I guess I should leave the silverware and cooking utensils all over the counters and tell him the same thing, he might look at it a little differently then.....................nevermind, no he wouldn't.

For some reason the fact he leaves the tap running the whole time he is cleaning his teeth really irritates me !

At least I cured him of leaving the toilet seat up and stepping out of the shower without drying his feet first.We have a really tiny bathroom and I hated going up to use the toilet after he'd been in the shower and getting soaking feet from where the floor was all wet.

I wasn't feeling well earlier this afternoon and I laid down on the couch to watch TV... I told my husband "If you see me asleep, wake me up because I want to be able to sleep tonight" but he gets so caught up in watching TV... he let me sleep for over an hour before he noticed I had fallen asleep. >:(

So now I'm supposed to be going to sleep soon, and I'm wide awake. ::)

Exactly!  And it isn't like they don't know it makes you crazy.  One of my biggest pet peeves is having our kitchen table all cluttered.  And my husband knows this.  Yet every single day he comes home and throws his crap all over it!  >:(  *sigh*  It's a good thing he's so damn cute or I think I'd have to kill him...

Many times we will put on a DVD in the bedroom. I will fall asleep before the movie is over. However, sometimes he will streighten out the covers over me (which were just fine) and start whispering sweet things to me (like how much he loves me etc.). ;D Luckily, it wasn't too bad, but when I looked at it at first and saw the redness from the sauce, I was like - "Oh Lordy" I think we generally eat in bed or on top of the comforter because we have a roommate and we have conflicting TV shows and the like, so it's easier that way - otherwise, if we had our own table and TV usage, then I would definetly eat at the table.

My husband collects Hard Rock Cafe shot glasses.  I guess my father in law mentioned it to one of his co-workers, and the guy brought my husband a glass from Chicago yesterday.  This guy has never met my husband, so it was a really nice thing to do.  I suggested that we send over some donuts or a gift certificate to a resturant to say thank you.  You'd have thought I was asking my husband to be voluntarily castrated.  He said that "guys just don't do that."  What, be nice?  WTH?  ::)

Dai has said he doesn't like it if I go up to bed too soon after he has gone up - i.e. when he is in bed but not yet dropped off to sleep.  However he often says he is going up to bed around 10.15 and then potters around doing god knows what until about 10.45.  I am watching a programme that finishes at 11.00 and would like to go to bed when it finishes but can't because he won't yet be asleep.  >:(

that's very true. I become discouraged sometimes too, because I am STILL in the process of obtaining my degree (it seems like it is taking forever)...but what I have to realize is that I am STILL only 31  years old..and that is still young.

Ok, here is the scenario: We are lying in bed watching a movie. I have the covers tucked under my chin-nice and cozy. He ALWAYS pulls the covers out from under my chin because he insist that the top sheet be turned over the blanket. I don't have a problem with that but I do have a problem that he consistently uncovers me and does not cover me back up-so I have to tuck the covers back under my chin. And when I have a hot flash and throw the covers off of me, THEN he decides to cover me up. But, this last one I think he learned. If the covers are off of me, then I am having a hot flash and it is best to leave to covers off.

A habit Dai has (o.k. he's done it once or twice) is filling the Brita jug and then not telling me so the lid comes off when I pour a glassful and water goes everywhere.

I'm not a big steak lover but if I have to have it, I prefer it pink but not bloody. Not too hard to understand, right? However, my husband, who does ALL the cooking (which I love him for), can't seem to understand what "not bloody" is. He THINKS I like it well done yet he always hands me a piece of meat that has blood coming out of every pore. According to him, "That isn't blood, it's juice". I can't help it if he likes his meat raw. I can't handle bloody meat. How do I get it through his head what NOT BLOODY means.

The red color of meat is due to the presence, not of oxygen-rich hemoglobin from red blood cells, but of oxygen-retaining myoglobin from the animal's muscle cells.  When a cow is killed, it's drained of blood within a few minutes of its demise.  By the time it's made it through all the chopping and slicing that turns it from "cow" to "prime cuts" to "steaks", there's no blood left to speak of.  The substance that forms the juices in steaks (specifically, the stuff that leaks out of a steak when it's vacuum-packed) isn't blood, it's called purge, and is basically a solution of myoglobin and water that leaches out from the cells during storage.

Click just about any of the links for steak doneness, ranging from "bleu" to "well done".

If you don't want the juices in the center of the steak to run red, you're going to have to cook the steak until the center of the steak is no longer pink.  In brief, you're after either a medium-well or a well-done steak.  Not how I like my steak, but to each their own.  If you want to break down the myoglobin to the point that the juices aren't red, you've gotta heat the steak up to the point that it's grey all the way through.  (Technically, you can have a sliver of pink in the middle -- all the juices will have been flashed off to the outward portions of the steak, and either broken down and/or boiled away.  Which is why a well-done steak tends to be tougher than a medium or a medium-rare steak.)

I'd go to this chart and point at the kinda steak you want.  Heck, watch over his shoulder the next time he cooks one and ask him what's going on inside the steak.  But the bottom line is, if you want it juicy, you're going to want it at most medium-well.  If you want no red in the juices, you're going to want it at least well-done.  There's no steak that simultaneously satisfies both conditions, so most of us err on the side of tender/juicy; you can always throw an underdone steak back onto the grill for another minute (or into the oven for another 2 minutes), but you can never uncook an overdone steak.

(If you're OK with red/pink juices that run clear vs. red juices that run opaque, disregard all of that.  You're after a medium steak, not a rare steak, but it sounds like you're after a medium-well to well-done steak.)

The point I was making is that he doesn't cook my steak LONG enough and I ALWAYS have to bring it back into the kitchen and finish cooking it myself.

Well, if you're asking him to overcook it, which, to a steak lover an overdone steak is a heresy akin to asking a chef named Bernstein (and his sous-chef Abdul) to prepare you a sausage-stuffed, bacon-wrapped pork loin drenched in cream sauce...

Seriously, if he knows how well-done you want the steak and still won't do it, there's no good solution.  But it may just (read that first paragraph again) be that he can't believe it.  Only advice I can give you is to point to a steak you think is "done" (to your tastes), and saying "leave mine on the fire until fit looks like this, or start mine five minutes before you start yours, and I don't care how dry and leathery it ends up!" (yes, you might even have to use those terms), you're toast, even though your steak won't be :)

No, you don't have to cook it until the center is no longer pink - I cook mine all the time where it is nice and pink on the inside but there is no trace of "red juice".

I'm like you Cat, I like mine nice and pink on the inside, because then it is still juicy without the red runoff. Nasty likes his just barely past rare, and I have the problem of over cooking his all the time. Last time we did steaks, he cooked his and I cooked mine. That's about all I can offer. :-\\ 8)

Surreptitious snacking is the answer.

Actually I was told it's better to eat six smaller meals a day rather than three huge ones.  Your body gets ready to digest food every two to three hours and if you don't give it anything to digest, that's when you get the really ravenous sensation and you start pigging on junk.

Sigh - you are lucky!  I WISH my husband cooked, we eat late because he gets home late so if he cooked, I wouldn't eat until midnight.  Or I'd eat again at Midnight.  Hmmmmmmm.

Ok, NOW he is insisting that I like my meat well done and made a steak for me last night that was burnt.  ::)  Then he tells me that the last time he cook it, it wasn't cooked enough. There is no happy medium (pun not intended) here. How hard is it to understand "pink but not bloody"? Maybe we should stop eating steak-that way we won't have this problem.

its ok Mike, I think Ive had a few laughs at your expense... im glad i was able to return the favor!!  :D

I collect the recyclable stuff in a box in the garage and then take it to the recycle station once or twice a week.

Dai will take stuff out to the garage and then put it on top of the box, like its too much effort to actually flip the lid open and put the stuff inside!

My husband says that he will do something and then he wants me to help him.
