Subject: strobe candles

Hi all,
I was wondering if any of you remember strobe candles?
They came in all shapes and sizes but the "wick" was sort of a piece of wood about the size of 2 pencils put together. When you lit the "wick" it strobed, much like a strobe light only not as fast or intense.
Am I the only one who had one of these ???????
I'm doing one room in my house as "the 70's room my mom never let me have" and would LOVE to find, or find out how to make, a strobe candle.........any suggestions?
