Subject: shoes with flaps?

i am searching for either the name of or the actual shoes. These shoes were made of a hard leather and they had a flap that covered the laces, They were burgundy in color and i think i bought mine at Famous Barr in the 70's. My mother always called them brogues but i can't find them under that name

Hi. I had a pair but I am not sure if I am mixing these up with another pair that were called "Marshmellows. They had a thick soles and heels that sort of felt litke you were walking on foam.
