anybody out there remember the band eight seconds? They were an obscure 80s band from Canada. Their biggest hit was kiss you when it's dangerous. I've been trying to locate their EP "Ottava Rima" and their LP "Big Houses". Anybody ever seen either? If you see either for sale, let me know! Thanks!

Oh yeah, I remember them. They video "Kiss You While It's Dangerous" was cool. I have that as an mpeg file.

The band is from Ottawa. (As am I :) ) They won the local radio station talent show, probably in '86, and recorded their EP "Ottava Rima" with the prize money. At that time, local radio actually played local acts, and I remember rather liking a lot of songs off that record, including a much better, un-echoey version of "Kiss You", as well as "Progresso Expresso," a dancey, nonsensey track that wasn't included on their "proper" Polydor debut, Almacantar.

On both records, there are a bunch of references to Ottawa that I rather appreciated (e.g., Commissioner Street).

You have the VIDEO to "Kiss You (When It's Dangerous)"???

Anyway I could get a copy of it! I was a huge fan!
