Hi everyone!

I'm Barry from Houston, TX!!! I am 36 and frequented all of those crazy houston clubs way back when.

If any of you are interested I have A Club 6400 tape on CD which I am willing to trade plus a tribut to Club 6400 cd I mixed.

If interested in either I will send you the song list for you to ponder over.

 I love the Danger Mouse pic you have! I forced a friend to mail me the UK postcard when their government made a set of stamps from small screen shows.  DM and Penfold are running from a shark. It is so funny.
  Does this mix disc of yours have So Ho Hippy Chick?
 They had an album, sorceress or enchantress or something that I have on order, but I didn't want to buy the album if all I want is one song.  But a full disc is of course worth the wait if the songs are long play mixes. Would you send a list my way? Thanks.

It has been a while since barlane85 has posted and he didn't leave his e-mail typed-out in his post, so he probably has no clue anyone's interested in his proposition.

I'm from Houston now living in Pensacola. I'm listening to one the many tapes I recorded from 6400. The only problem I have is that they are sooo old. the quality is not that good. That was one hell of a club era. 1986-1989.  Numbers is the only club I know that still plays the great electric 80's tunes of that time. I would like to see if you could send me a track list of the songs you have on your cd. I'm looking for "London Town" By Sharpe and Numan plus others........... I can mix and burn a few of my own discs......

We can either trade or make me an offer. I think this CD is beyond worth. So figure that one out!! hehe!

3rd Mr. Michael McCrain: How's Florida. Boy do I wish I was there. I here the party never stops there!!! and you can get some pretty good wig there as well. Remmber that term? HEHE!

So here's what I have to offer: One excellent 6400 live CD.
I had the tape from 1988(summer) enhanced it with some pretty expensive software and put in on CD. I can copy it for you onto a CD or DVD. Just make your choice.

I also have a CD of the end of the 6400 tape(Since tapes are longer than CD's I didn't want to waste it!) and it transitions into a Live From Netwerk CD. This is an excellent CD as well.

Also I have a tribute CD that I mixed with Mixmiester. I can also send you a copy of that software if you'd like to try yourself. It's a lot of fun!!!

I AM WORKING ON AN XCESS TRIBUTE CD, SO IF ANYONE HAS SONG IDEAS FOT THIS JUST SHOUT OUT!!!!!


LAST BUT NOT LEAST: I have to make a confession! There was a guy, his name is John Houseman. He wanted to trade tapes with me and really talked up his tapes like they were the greatest. So he sent me two tapes. 1 from 6400 and 1 from xcess.
THESE WERE THE WORST TWO TAPES I'VE EVER HEARD IN MY LIFE. HE MUST OF RECORDED ON THE WORST NIGHT OF 6400 AND HE TOLD ME HE PAYED $20 FOR THE XCESS TAPE. I BET HE FELT RIPPED OFF!! THIS TAPE SOUNDS ALMOST IDENICAL TO THE FIRST AND NOTHING ABOUT IT SOUNDS LIKe XCESS!!! JOHN!!! IF YOUR OUT THERE I DID PROMISE YOU A CD SO I GUESS I HAVE TO SEND YOU ONE. THIS IS LIKE TRADING A DIAMOND FOR A PIECE OF COAL!!! HEHE!

SO PEOPLE BE HONEST OUT THERE BEFORE YOU SEND ME SOME CRAP!!!

All of us 6400 groupies need to start out own Web page together and start a movement!!!!

Yes Barlane, send me the tapes.  I thought we were going to trade?  That was back in December.  And  about the Xcess tape, no I didn't get ripped off.  That was 1 night of a 1000, and the music of the club was similar to that tape. Xcess didn't have a night in which every song was a great song.  6400 would play the same songs every weekend.  I have lots of 6400 tapes and most of the songs are the same. If you want a tape with all good songs you have to make yourself.

The answer to your question is The Weathermen, Let Them come to Berlin.

I myself used to have 5 6400 tapes and everyone of them were different. You must have sent me the worst one you had then. My worst tape was 100% better than that. Anyhow, I will send you what I promised and I apologize. OK?

Regarding your Xcess tape. You did get ripped. Most of the audio was recorded on the right side. Very strange to say the least, but that's what you would expect from the Xcess DJs I guess and the Xcess I remember and frequented played Thrill Kill, Double ID, Ministry, Colm III, MCL, Airplane Crashers, Sandra, Hithouse, The Cult, and on and on I could go.
So what you sent me was very dissapointing.

That's so don't try to full yourself or anyone else.

There is a site I recently found that has several 80's club classics.  He can mix a CD and has a list of over 200 club songs from the 80's.  It is at a cost but you can select any song you may be looking for.  Well worth it since most of the songs are out of print and hard to find.

????  The tape had MCL, Cult, and Ministry.  Well, you are entitled to your opinion, but you'll never convince me otherwise.  I gave this tape to lots of clubbers and you are the first to complain.  6400?  Come on, you can't tell me that on every Saturday night you wouldn't hear these songs:
Stranglelove, Join In The Chant, The Beach, MaleStripper, Tainted Love, Kiss Me.  Also Airplane Crashers and Headhunter once they came out.  I think I recorded 6400 almost every Saturday night and I only kept a few because for the most part, they were all the same tape!  Also that Xcess tape was recorded before Airplane Crashers, Double ID, and Sandra came out.  Oh well, Do you have a club tape that's better?  Let's hear it!

I apoligize for my profanity. I didn't know that saying BS was profanity!!! Jeeese!!! Anyhow two groan men arguing about a 20 year old music is more profane than the profanity. That's what the issue should. So I also apologize for that as welll. So back to the issues of this web site. That is bringing people together, remember when we were young.
