My husband and I were talking about the good-old 80's while watching the vh-1 special and started talking about the spiked-hair artists that were big (i.e. paul young, john waite, mr mister) but are having trouble figuring out one in particular. He was blonde, sang some mushy love songs, pretty good looking (in my opinion) and his first name was either Peter (not Cetera) Paul or John (we think). Help someone!?!?!?! ??? ???

When you said blond, Howard Jones popped into my head. He may be the one your talkin' about. ;)

I don't know about spiked hair, but Paul Carrack was a solo artist in the 80's with a couple "mushy" songs. He also has several group tie-ins (Ace, Squeeze, etc,), very successful writer/vocalist.

Or maybe Paul Davis ? But his hair definitely wouldn't fit your spiked description ?????
