Subject: I know this game/toy existed, but...

...I can't remember the name, company or apparently anything of real relevance.
Circa 1981, my mom bought me a purple plastic game/toy - I want to say it was Parker Brothers or Mattel - but it was a "1000 Questions"-type deal. The toy had a scroll mechanism inside (viewable by a cut-out section on both sides in the plastic) and you went through the questions by turning knobs on the sides. Mine was a music-themed game with questions like "754. What is the most re-recorded Beatles song in history?" and, if you turned the toy around, you'd get the answer on the other side of the scroll. It was hand-held and boxy. I also seem to remember that there were other categories (movies and TV?) and that those came in yellow and red. Plus, they were pretty cheap toys to boot.
Does anyone have even an inkling of an idea what toy/game this was? And where I could find an old one? Please help, if you can. Thanks -M.A.

Have you tried contacting the major games and toy manufactureres? Sites like askjeeves might help or my favorite site (again!) www.yesterdayland.com.
Also reputable toy shops may be of help as an outside chance.
Hope this is of help, good luck.
