I bought my scanner and printer at walmart for $79 printer is a canon BJ - 2110 and the scanner is d646U and both work very well, And the best part is there both a cool Grey - blue color that match my computer and monitor. Probaly cheaper now, I think I saw the set for $59 around christmass time.

JC...I am not sure if you are asking if this price is ok to purchase one...and yes..it is...but if you are trying to get one for photo quality and text scanning..you need to check the dpi on it..it need to be atleast 2400 dpi to get quality out of it...I have a publishing business and that is an important quailty of a scanner

if the one screwballs showed you was warranted then I might go for it...but a 9600 dpi starting at 64 bucks sounds fishy to me...

www.hp.com
and look at the products there....not that you might need that kind....but it can give you alot of info on scanners

I recently bought a new scanner at OfficeMax for $40 and it works quite well.  It has a resolution of 1200x600 dpi and it's all I really need.  It's the scanner used to scan the images of myself on the 1970's, 1980's, and 1990's boards.
