finalizing birthday plans - I have the party place booked.  And it is for 10 girls - Addy invited 10 girls (hopefully someone can't go - otherwise 1 more shouldn't be too bad).  I do not think the youngest daughter will even get to take part in the festivities.  I just had a mom call me, and said her youngest was in tears (the elder daughter is in Addy's class and was invited) she wanted to go to the Pampered Poodle Party Place too for the make overs (not the slumber party) - Can she go too???  (I had to let mom know, that I do not even think my youngest - the sister - will be going).  Is it just me, or would this annoy anyone else as well???

yeah I think if the mom wants the kid to go she can pay for the one not invited... if your youngest was going then I'd say it might be a good idea to give her a playmate but if not its just rude to get an invite for a sibling not the same age.

I have this microwave oven that can also be used as a 'regular' oven, right? Now tonight I had bought this snack thing for dinner (well, actually two of them) that has to be heated in a preheated oven (200°C) for 12 to 15 minutes. So I preheated the oven, and after a while I put in the first one for 15 minutes.
As soon as that one was ready to eat, I put in the second one (didn't want to waste the heat), closed the door, set the timer for another 15 minutes and pressed the start button. Only thing is: I forgot to set it to the regular oven...
So instead of heating my snack for 15 minutes at 200°C, I set it to be bombarded by microwaves at 850 Watt for 15 minutes. ;D :D

At least I know now that that is not a smart thing to do.

My husband always uses the convection roast setting and then puts things too close to the top of the oven (where the glowing element is) and is surprised when the top of the meat is blackened and its still raw underneath!
