PS1 was one of the best eras of gaming. Spyro, Crash, Castlevania SOTN, Gran Turismo 2... I grew up with the classics.

Surprisingly never played any of them. For racing games, it's Gran Turismo and Mario Kart for me.

I remember being stunned by the graphics of Ridge Racer Type 4, though I never bought it on a permanent basis. I guess the one time I needed to take some money, I forgot to do so...

Then Ridge Racer 5 came out as a PS2 launch title, though I appear to remember it had one of the least good reviews (albeit not a bad review as such) of the PS2 launch titles at the time.

Ah, the PS2 launch.... I remember Tekken Tag Tournament, The Bouncer, Ridge Racer 5, DrumMania, several good games came out with the launch of the PS2. The first PS2 game my bro got was Onimusha Warlords.

I used to buy pork chops at the grocery store but they started tasting funny to me so I stopped eating them and would buy them on occassion from a butcher (they were tasty but expensive)  then I started buying them at costco... sure I got 18 in a package for 16 bucks but the meat was soooo good... it was worth eating pork for a month... yes I froze it but I still ate it like every day  :D


anyway. Coming back from AZ my mom loaded me up with food... in the cooler were two packages of thin pork chops (I prefer thick but whatever) from a grocery store... I honestly don't think I've had pork from a grocery store in 5 yrs. I forgot about the smell and the taste...

the smell is like feet... or something equally nasty and, as you know, smell affects taste... so why do grocery store pork chops smell/taste so bad?

Well I am taking that this is aimed at me  ::)  Perhaps Karen, but as bobo is a Pie type of professional, I will assume that it is me you are speaking of which flesh guru is....  It all depends, really not so much on the grocery store, as they can have the same pork as any other place...  But if pork has a strong smell, most likely it is boar meat (intact male meat), and is low grade and aka... cheaper (sausage will have a tendency to have this smell, as they will make boars into sausage a lot).  If the pork is in Cryovac packaging, it is a lot of times injected with a brine to help break it down and make it more tender, for best flavor/quality it should be rinsed and let rest.  A Sow in heat can also present an off flavor, and as the pork industry has hit some hard times, with high feed prices and low market prices, it has forced some under so they "liquidate" the herd and sell everything, so boars and sows will flood the market.  Again, it is cheap and so a grocer trying to get a bang for a buck will sell it (Beef as well - I have had Cow tenderloins before - a female that has given birth and is older ='s off flavor),  find a reputable butcher or grocery store that cares, Costco is selling restaurant quality so it is pretty consistent, or if in cryovac than rinse the pork and let sit a bit...

sorry, cryovac the shrink wrapped plastic packaging...  Usually in the shape of the meat or packaging material (the box meat cames in). Most stores don't hire a real butcher, they May have a meat cutter...  Meaning undressing of knowing how to take a while animal and cut it into it's market cuts, and then make individual cuts for retail use (steaks, chops, roasts, etc...); store a lot just get meat from the packing house that is already cut into it's market cuts, and cryovaced and then the cutter cuts that up, or sometimes stores get away with absolutely no meat cutter and it is all done at packinghouse, and they cut the chops roast and steaks and package it (cryovac) there.

TVtropes labels that as a disc one nuke.

And it is, you can make an Iron Axe right after getting it for cheaper than you can buy one(and you can't buy an Iron Axe for a few good towns). I've found that you can also make a set of armor for slightly cheaper than you can buy it(It does take a two stage recipe to do it though).

DQ9's alchemy setup is less overpowered.

Dang, this year has been so good so far.

I don't patrol Howard I'm a police dispatcher so I sit in a room and answer phones and talk on the radio.

I didn't work a shift last night I just had to go in at 1145 to make sure the computers were properly reading case numbers for 2011.

No I talk to the police cars on the street and tell them when people call 911 or when they need to file a report or have a complaint.

When the officers pull a car over or go investigate something suspicious they tell me where they are and what they are doing. I keep a log of their activity and I send other officers if they call for help or if I don't hear from them after a certain period of time.

yes here it has been cold enough for snow since new years eve...  It is just downright ugly and bitterly cold now.  I like the cold when it is pretty with snow (and I can play in it - hard frozen ground hurts)

Yeah Q I do sometimes but my hours are crazy over there at Pathmark that the only time I'll date is on my days off,just got to make sure I have no appointments and my days are free and clear.By the time I come home I'm tired,take a shower,get on the computer,eat dinner and go to sleep.
