Ooh I see... silly Hallowe'en. If we could celebrate it in the right spirit in this country it wouldn't put so many adults off the concept...
So how do you celebrate it??? 

So many here are acting like Halloween scrooges.  makes me mad.  I am going to have a halloween party for all the teens when my kids get old enough.  With candy and treats and stuff, no one wants to let em trick or treat... they need fun too (otherwise they start the tricken)

Basically kids go around begging for money having not bothered to dress up and stay until they're hounded away by the neighbours' dogs. But that's the spirit of the older generation(s) spoiling it for the younger ones rather than the other way around, particularly in closer-knit communities.

Essentially it's a good excuse for kids to go around looking like disguised tramps for the day...

I should say, that's how it's perceived by many other than myself - it's certainly not how I feel personally, I think it's a great chance for kids to actually bond with parents and friends over something they've actually put effort into themselves... makes me sad that people don't appreciate the effort...

I also skip lines... so I'll read one line but instead of reading the next line I read the one below the next line then the thing I'm reading makes no sense.

I would love to start all over again but it is just so hard for me to read-and it takes time away from being here.  ;)  Listening to a reading of it would be so much easier for me.


I used to have books on tape from the state library-which is free for the visually impared. I would get 10 books at a time and I could keep them for only 2 weeks. I never got a chance to listen to them and half the time I sent them back without listening. I finally sent back my tape player (which was free with the service). Of course this was when I was in school. I thought about doing that again but we are not here for about 2 months so... :-\\

Barbie dolls scare me a little. They are freaky with the eyes and arms that move only at the shoulders.... and the detachable heads!
