I don't really get the board title of Writing On the Walrus I get WHY a walrus, but is it an allusion to something?

I guess it has been a gradual thing over the past 20 years or so. A self examination revealed the last time I could remember being proud of myself was in my 20's. I really need to make some changes.....

Wet-Cured, Dry-Cured, Smoked, Country Ham, Spiral Sliced, Prosciutto, Deli Ham, Canned Ham, Serrano, Tasso - Or a Picnic, which is not from the Back leg, which true Hams are from, but instead from the front shoulder??????

I like ham, I think I like ham better than bacon - it does not spit at you when you cook it.
