Howard.... I know I tease you about being obsessed with Robin but this is honest and straight from the heart... it will be hard for you find a new girlfriend as long as you continue to obsess about the old one. If you talk about Robin this much on line you probably do it in person too and no girl wants to go out with a guy who hasn't gotten over his last love. There are a couple of reasons for this
1) if you're obsessing about Robin then you might not be open to the new girl...plus they may be afraid you'd dump them if Robin wanted to come back into your life.
2) if you obsess this much about Robin, then you might obsess this much about them and they may be afraid of the potential for "stalker syndrome"
Good luck moving on Howard...sincerely.

Okay, now I'm REALLY feeling low.
This morning, a certain young lady I recently got acquainted with accused me of fllowing her around a lot lately. She knows that I'm a nice guy, "...but sometimes I just need my space," she says. (Something like that.) I told her that I "don't mean it quite like that; I'm really sorry if it was a misinterpretation on your part." She sorta understood that; I told her to have a good day "...and good luck on your finals; it was nice knowing you," and then I gave her a friendly handshake.

Awwww man, sorry to hear that.
You weren't hiding in bushes or anything like that, were you? ;)
Next time, if you like a woman and she's single, don't follow her around like a puppy because it would most likely get on her nerves. Be confident, talk to her and show interest.

Oh, I don't think I's followin' her "like a puppy"; I just have a tendency to approach people the wrong way sometimes. :-[ And I think I've told you about this particular gal a few times. And for the record, no, I don't hide in bushes (at least not literally).
In the early days I knew her (February-March), she seemed real sweet and all, and didn't mind my company. Maybe I was just overdoing things.

Yeah I understand that it can be difficult to approach girls in the right way. Stand straight, walk with purpose and show a natural smile. Shows confidence. :)
How were you overdoing things?
Yes, I have had that problem over the years. I still have her email addy, but I think I might wait to send a message to her. When I email her (whenever that is), I will apologize for any problems I may have caused. This is the last week of classes, btw, so I may not see her again after this week...which is okay by me.

I wouldn't bother e-mailing or apologising. From what you wrote, apart from being a bit too enthusiastic, you've got nothing to apologise for and it won't change the way she feels about you I'm afraid. :-\\

Maybe, maybe not. I've decided to not worry about her for the next few days, so I can prep for my final exams and get my paper done...and if I'm up to it, I'll see about emailing her to apologize for making her feel uncomfortable in any way/shape/form...of course, if I do that, I will prepare what I want to write before submitting it. Still, I don't know if I'll see her again, but if I don't, then that's okay. I have plenty of other lady friends who I can communicate with. :)

Being too nice comes across as artificial as if you are bribing the woman to be interested in you. You don't have to overdo the niceness to show interest - that's all it takes sometimes.

....and if they don't...tough for them. However, it is always prudent to 'self-check' every now and then to seek improvement in one's self. It doesn't hurt to take on other 'good' qualities that the ladies may view as desirable. But those new qualities have to be maintained or you are just fooling yourself as well.

I'm not saying you were. I was using it as a metaphor to say 'don't use obsequiousness (flattery close to worship) as a means to bribe a woman'. There is a difference between being natural and being over-the-top.

Well, for the past couple months, she has been on the shuttle with me (which takes us from the train station to the campus) for most days; that's where I met her. Like I said, I may have been "too nice" with her and she might've taken it the wrong way...and/or I may have approached her in the wrong way.

My heels are cracking open again...
This is nothing new to me.
It is tied into the fact of how many surgeries I have had on my feet, and the fact that the nerves have re-routed themselves so many times.
I have moderate to severe edema, and when it's bad, my feet feel like blocks of ice.
The worst part is that they crack open, and sometimes bleed.
Mine are almost to the bleeding point.

Usually, I put shea butter on them, and wear socks to bed, to soften them up.
I repeat this for several days, until they close up relatively well.

Deleting your account is not necessary!
If you feel poorly enough, you could always take time off by just not visiting - but if you ever wanted to come back, well... so much for that idea.
Keep your account, unless it will really make you happy to lose it.

That's a co-incidence...a bad humored English teacher took her ire out on my by pointing out that I 'only' came in second in a spelling contest.(in front of the class) I wasn't bragging ot anything. I think she turned me off English for a long time.
Psht, did you hear about that lady who actually had her class do a vote on whether or not a boy with Asperger's should be allowed to stay in the class?
Being the malleable six-year-olds they were, they were very swayed by her words and voted him out of the class.
Now THAT'S bad teaching.

(from my animal rescue site)
Lily made it through her first dog training session, and was the worst one there. She barked the whole time because she was completely stressed and protective of me. The trainer put her is a pet carrier for almost the whole hour. I was very unimpressed and also upset at the way Lily was treated. I'm going to have to have a talk with that trainer.
Like...WHAT training did she get? Lily was so stressed that when she got home, after making sure I was alright, she slept for two days!! I really think something physically could have happened to her, heart, stroke...stuff like that.
This was Monday. I was upset for several days because I felt so bad for her. I'm more attached to this little puppy than I realized!

I'm bla I think it just that the waiting is the hardest part. I don't feel like recording, I don't feel like writing, I'm starting to get tired of hanging around here, it's way too hot to be spending a bunch of time in my garden, it just depresses me being around people who can verbally communicate and I havent been able to master sign language. I'm not sure what to do with me to keep me hanging on. I do still have my watercolors. I can try doing that.

a bone broke in my right ear. I did have radiation in the past. The laser was shot through the left ear. I think it happened because a voice in my head asked me if I'd rather be blind or deaf. I didn't was to loose my sight and if I'm deaf I cant sing. I said I guess I choose deafness of the two. http://www.amiright.com/parody/70s/donmclean129.shtml

Think of a phone you can talk into but cant hear out of. My right ear controls speech and thats what took the damage. My left ear picks up tones and I have no problems there. My brain is not damaged so I can still send signals. I just cant recive speech signals through the right ear.

It's not a problem. I can still hear music, but only the instrumental parts of the song. If I can catch the beat, rhythm or whatever and it's a song I've known from the past, then I can enjoy it. Did you know I had a soundclick account? You can check it out if you want
