With Ms. Accord, sound is one of her's(because of her best attack).

Well, you can say that... Although it's more of a element affinity system(based on the Naruto series, but I added more to it).

They're robots, so they don't have any natural elemental affintity, the only way for them to use different elements is if it's technology based(like a flamethrower weapon built it).

No, I think they're talking about character choices as in where they come from. We've been more or less shoveling nothing but anime characters in as the bulk of our own battles, and people are starting to assume all we work with are animated characters.

I've fought a few battles on my own(a couple against real people like Mitch Daniels and Jack Thompson) without having anime/cartoon characters aiding me.

And I have Homestar Runner(a cartoon character, but not in the anime cartoon category) as a character option.

And if that's what you're talking Hawk, as Airrider said, yes you can make up new characters whatever way you want or use real people or cartoons, fictional people, etc.

For instance, I added Harry Houngan from the Clayfighter series, which is a video game. He's a silly looking witch doctor that fights with a zombiefied rubber chicken and tiki mask.

I've thought about adding Puggy, a character from Dave Barry's book Big Trouble. He's a kind of short man who never really had a home of his own. He's also pretty strong and has a knack for carrying and throw/swinging heavy things.
