Yeah, I'm out here in California, but my mom and dad are sleeping, my sister is harassing the cops (she's on a ride along assignment with the sheriff's dept.), and Jason is with my in laws in Danville. So I'm all alone, except for the parakeets, and they're sleeping.

I'd forgotten that. Yes, it was only this recent trip to the UK ... that showed me .. that Sydney has now fallen behind, in its free to air offerings. With a digital set top box, you can boost your channels quite significantly ... as well as getting radio stations. Well, I can do OK radio wise, but as for TV ... we still only have a handful of free to air to choose from: ABC (BBC equivalent, .. i.e ... government funded ............ no TV licence for US though !   8)    :P    ;D  .. but at the cost of frequent IRRITATING ads on the commercial stations ?    :-\\  ) ; ABC2 (tends to be repeated programs from ABC ) ; SBS (Special Broadcasting Service ) ... almost commercial free. Aimed at ethnics .. but often shows soft porn, and subtitled foreign movies, as well as Champions League football games. .......... TVS ... a newish community local tv station; then 7, 9, and 10.  That makes around 7 stations, that most people in Sydney ... could reasonably expect to pick up. I have also managed to pick up 'Newcastle' and 'Wollongong' ... where I used to live ........ but the communal aerial where I've moved to ... filters these out !  >:( :\'(
