yeah and it was great weather this time, had a good wander about the streets, the architecture up there is just incredible, loads of 5-6 storey tenement style buildings from the 16th c.  saw a great act, this guy (in the style of Keith lead vocal PRODIGY but smiled much more  ;D) doing fire eating, chain saw + machete judging..  :o yes honest  :o  he was brilliant and really funny too..heard the Tattoo but u needed a ticket for that, but the castle looked amazing all lit up with flame torches around the perimeter, lots of fireworks. I'm sure the BBCs culture show was recorded up there but couldn't find where they were. Only 2 days training left wed/thurs next week and thats it!!  Hallelujah  :D

aye it's  such a shame we didn't meet, but with all that tooing and froing to Edinburgh and me other jobs it was nigh on impossible - only if i'd driven down and back to London on the same day, plus I was totally skint at the time so I guess the odds were against..pity about that  :(
