We have dropped, I did notice yesterday that the boards were less active than usual, it could had been due to the Holiday and our members doing other socialable things.

I'm pleased to read that (nearly said 'hear' that :P ) ... as my mother should have just arrived back in the UK today. She will probably find it more cold than usual, having just spent most of the last 5 to 6 weeks in the southern hemisphere !

Hopefully. She DOES like her tea ! My ratio of tea consumption increased significantly whilst she was here. Strangely, she likes it 1st thing in the morning ... then starts leaning towards coffee. Me ? I'm the exact reverse ! I need that stronger caffeine hit that coffee generally supplies ! Later, I find tea more thirst quenching, and with its lower caffeine, it makes more sense to me to drink it as the later of the two.

That REALLY surprises me !

However, you do remarkably well in that case, Mike.

Up until the early 90's, I was basically a one finger per hand typist. Thought 'touch typing' would be forever beyond me.

I could never get to grips with those old mechanical typewriters ..... too much presssure/ finger manipulation required for my liking. Computer keyboards ... a different kettle of fish.

Basically .... those free typing programs helped me make the step up. I have never looked back. It's great to not have to keep looking down at the keyboard for every letter you type. Take it from me, Mike .... a few hours a day practicing to get virtually ALL your fingers working .... will bring you a sense of satisfaction, not to mention even greater efficiency in your posts .

That REALLY surprises me !

However, you do remarkably well in that case, Mike.

Up until the early 90's, I was basically a one finger per hand typist. Thought 'touch typing' would be forever beyond me.

I could never get to grips with those old mechanical typewriters ..... too much presssure/ finger manipulation required for my liking. Computer keyboards ... a different kettle of fish.

Basically .... those free typing programs helped me make the step up. I have never looked back. It's great to not have to keep looking down at the keyboard for every letter you type. Take it from me, Mike .... a few hours a day practicing to get virtually ALL your fingers working .... will bring you a sense of satisfaction, not to mention even greater efficiency in your posts .
Am I ready for change? promises of greater effiency and more satisfaction? wow Al, that's a great campaign for me to have a better typing future. almost sounds like all the promises I keep hearing these presidential hopefuls making ;D but I lnow yours is sincere. thanks, but I don't have to motivation to learn.

I do like them a lot and that's a band that I do not have a CD of, and is on my wish list. Deacon Blues is a good song. Their music is always good for taking you back to the 70's

I guess if you converted them to mp3 /have an mp3 player in your car ...... you could fit hundreds of songs on one CD ?

precisely and Neil Diamond is one I searched for Christmas time but ran into that problem. I have not made the jump into MP3 yet, one day i will, but I'm not in a hurry. I like things the old way, even though the newer technology is awesome.

2/12 was my mom's birthday and the same as Abraham Lincolns birthday, but we don't celebrate his on the 12th, we do his and George Washington's together and call it President's Day. Washington's is really the 22nd of Feb, the day before my birthday. I'm getting old

As for Spring, those at home doing the Spring Cleaning seem to spend more time online instead.
