Last week the Mega Millions was over 200 million dollars.  Someone in Georgia won. 

I had been stashing money away so I could buy tickets if it hadn't been won...

anyway I had to buy milk and when the cashier told me how much it was I said I'll use my lottery money since that person in Georgia won my jackpot...

so I have a friend who called and said let's go to dinner.

We go to ebar, the bill comes and it sits on the table while were talking... I pull out my card to pay for my portion but then she never picks it up, and looks at it ... so I end up paying for dinner....

Then we go to star bucks and I order a hot choc. she doesn't step up to order put anything on the order... so I pay for my HC.

Then we go to the movies and I pull out a five... I had a coupon to drop the tix from 10 bucks to 5 bucks....each... she pulled out her card o pay for her movie ticket but as I pulled out a five  she didn't offer to pay for mine....  I should have left my money in my wallet like she did at dinner....am I wrong?

I mean- I go out with friends all the time and it's always a fight to pay or If one buys this then the other buys that...

I didn't expect her to buy my dinner I thought we'd split the tab... but once I paid for dinner she could have bought my $2.45 cent HC and my $5 movie ticket.  >:(  at $7.45 it was still about 4 dollars less than what I paid for her dinner.

17 inch LCD Television. 

I was told that there were televisions going for $143 at Kmart stashed in the back from someone who works there.  He even purchased two for himself.  I took it home and was very excited.  (I was planning on using it as a computer monitor)  When I tired to power it on I noticed that the power adapter wasn't there.  It had a power cord but no where to attach it, plus the remote was missing.  I guess it is true what they say.  If it looks too good to be true......

yeah I didn't google it before leaving because I got a GPs for Christmas so I planned on putting in the street and then using the Points of Interest function to find the church once I got there.....who knew that churches weren't an option in the Points of Interest feature...

that's sad  :(    I don't trust the mapping sites, so I will check both Yahoo maps and Mapquest for directions and even then I'm not fully trusting that they are updated with streets and freeway exit changes that may have occured.

I continued to follow the directions out of curiousity.  they took me almost a mile down the road and then had me drive around one block.  Turn right on canyon, turn right on iron wood turn left on fern, turn left on canyon ......

It turns out  my destination was on the left so the directions had me make a full turn around a neighborhood block just so I could approach my destination from the right hand side....oh yeah...and there was turn signal in front of my destination so the whole thing was truly unnecessary.  ;D

no ....well it was a ghetto area ....more like little Tijuana if you will poor but not necessarily dangerous. I think the real trick is to make sure you get the street right. sometimes two streets share a name but one is a way and the other an Ave.  and get street numbers! It makes a huge difference. That's what I figured out.  If you can get a street number youll be okay.

Yesterday we went shopping for stuff for mine and Jason's trip at Target. I got some luggage tags in the shape of monkeys, some locks for our suitcase (you're allowed to lock your checked luggage on Amtrak), a small first aid kit, some flip flops, and other stuff that I can't remember. Rice got a new backpack because his is all thrashed. Then we went to Costco and got some fruit, M&Ms, and batteries. We stopped at Best Buy to look at computer cameras, and wound up with the 25th anniversary edition of The Blues Brothers and the super deluxe ultra awesome edition of Bonnie & Clyde. ;D Then on to PetSmart to get a latch for the dog's seatbelt (don't ask).

It feels good to have extra money finally. :)

Amazingly Amazon.com sent me a $50 gift certificate because I purchased an HD DVd player at christmas time....they were under the impression I was disappointed that HD DVD lost the hi def war.  I for one am not at all upset with my purchase... there are still great movies available for HD...plus my father bought a flat screen tv on the air force base and they gave him a blu ray dvd player for free...he's giving it to me... I already have a PS3 so I have blu ray anyway but I love having lots of components... so I'm taking it...

I just found out the release got bumped up a week and Amazon had already charged my account two days ago so ..... I just paid for something a full week before I could actually afford to pay for it!  >:(

A Mother's Day card for my mom. It came to x dollars and 40 cents, but I only had 36 cents in change....so I gave 'em (x+1) dollars and my 36 cents. Sometimes when a customer is a few cents short on change, they take it as the whole thing...but this time they didn't do that; I got 96 cents in change, and I don't have a coin-tainer to keep all my coins in; I've kept them in my pocket. On the bright side, however, only one of them is a penny.

The new Kathy Reichs on offer and Sophie Dahl's first novel for £2.99 if you bought a 70p newspaper. the book should have been £7.99 so that was a great bargin! I love a book bargin, it's the shopaholic librarian in me.  ;D

I also bought Himself a soppy birthday card. I don't do soppy/romantic but he loves it so I have to force myself.  :P

Went back to Wal-Mart, and got Seasons 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of '3rd Rock From the Sun' for this same price.  SALES ARE AWESOME! 8)

So for a woman who wasn't going shopping! I bought  a shirt, 3 dvd's, a bracelet, a necklace and a ring. Some wine charms and a hessian bag to carry all my purchases in!  ::)

It was 97.22 at Costco.  I took a picture of the sign with the price on it...

...then I went to Circuit City and found it there for 149.99.  I showed the guy the picture on my phone and walked out of the door with the program and a reciept that read $91.94 (+ tax)  8)
