well,my father had horrid vision when i was little and we almost ran over a girl holding a construction sign(TRAUMA!! lol)and i had to read the signs/trafficlight colours to him for the next hour or so while on our family vacation..good times..lol..i was um 7ish..beyond that,my parents split up when i was twelve and mom didn't know how to drive at the time so it wasn't like there was a car in the driveway when i was turning 16..always had boyfriends/friends/cabs/buses(on bad days lol) so it was never an issue..i'm extremely independent aside from that and everyone tells me that i haven't lived until i've had my own wheels..believe me,when my truck is sitting in the driveway(mine since i negotiated the deal lol)i do think 'i could so be at the mall right now...'   :D

My brother was born January '63.  My mum had to push start the car on the way to the hospital because it broke down.  The cold made it difficult to start.  I think she ended up been taken to hospital by a vicar who was driving past.
