It's been snowing like crazy today. We got about 10 to 15 cm of snow, which is very unusual (usually, we don't get more than 5 cm in a whole year). I had to remove the snow from my car twice today.

Other places have had as much as 40 to 50 cm, and with strong winds dunes have formed of 150 cm in some places - high enough to surprise even the odd snow plough. :o

Large parts of the country are covered in snow, causing major problems for all traffic. Public transport has virtually come to a halt in many places. Trouble is expected to continue tomorrow, and with more (heavy) snow predicted for Tuesday it will probably last another day.

As for me : I live on a peninsula in the northwest of the country. Temperatures have risen above freezing in this part of the country, so most of the snow has thawed away. We will get hit with more snow too in the coming days, but with temperatures around or just above freezing in this part of the country it'll probably not hold. No white Christmas for me...

Some more snow has fallen. Not much, maybe 2 cm - just enough to cover the surface.

Today was a relatively mild day, with temps just above freezing here. It caused the snow (or what was left of it) to melt, but later on it started freezing again, making the surface extremely slippery. And now it's covered in snow again... Better watch out when I go out tomorrow!

The southeast of the country is likely to be hit by freezing rain tonight. Lucky them!
