DYHIW there's a traffic jam on the freeway and it's backed up for a couple miles...and then you find the root of the problem to be a delivery truck that is stalled in the middle lane. That happened as I was coming home earlier.

All the supermarkets around here have tubs of them at all entrances so you can use them on the cart handles, and for yourself.  What pisses me off is that at the Museum of Science, with all the sniffling, slurping, kids all over all the hands-on exhibits, doesn't provide much in the way of sanitizer.  There is one dispensing machine outside each pair of restrooms, and not always filled.  You'd think that they would be a bit more zealous.  I keep a small travel size in my pocket.

I am afraid to drive next to motorcycles because they are too unpredictable. Motorcycle drivers always seem to like weaving in and out of traffic, which makes me nervous as heck. I also hate driving near trucks because they are just too ominous and overbearing.

I have to say... I hate it when people in the fast line who aren't going fast enough don't change lanes...thereby requiring me to (not on a motorcycle but still) pass on the right... fast lane is for passing slow cars if you're going slower than other cars on the road the proper thing to do is to give them their lane.

Dithered for ages trying to work out which dishwasher detergent to buy.  I had a coupon for the new Finish Dishmatic, so was that cheaper than the Finish tabs that were $1 off the regular price.  Concluded that the Dishmatic stuff was cheaper per wash.  I've just opened the pack to use it to find it wasn't a system and a refill as I thought but just a system that needed setting up.  SO it was in reality twice the price I thought!  >:(

Howard. I don't want to devalue your job it's important that people have carts to use but, and I hope you take the time to read this slowly- 

The primary goal for pathmark is to make Money.
That is done by selling things. Impulse buys are
what they push harder. You need to know that by
blocking the plants you are limiting sales. That makes
you a bad employee.

My suggestion is to talk to the manager, NOT TO WIN,
but to find a solution that works for you AND the florist.

I haven't really followed baseball over the last 3-4 years, but you just reminded me that tomorrow is the Red Sox opener against the Yankees! Maybe this will be the season I get back into watching games. For now, I'm still thinking all basketball -- trying to will my Celtics into a decent playoffs spot and hopefully into the Finals!

I did that this morning. That can happen when you stay up too late, which I did...trying to beat the computer in a game of chess, even at the "Beginner" level. Which brings me to another DYHIW.

I am exactly the same sometimes, though I am not having a battle of wits with chess pieces but with wizards, bugbears and trolls. I am playing 'Neverwinter Nights 2' and that is getting me addicted so I refuse to buy Warcraft if I want a life, lol.

Yep that's exactly what I did . . . well, not the chess part  ;D but I did stay up until 1am when I could've been in bed around 11:30pm.

Yep, those games can get quite addicting, and you spend a lotta time on them. I often play the Solitaire game that is on my computer, and I get lots of unwinnable hands, and I end up losing 20 in a row sometimes before finally winning a game, and it gets quite time-consuming. Yesterday I tried playing the chess game, and I spent well over an hour on it before finally deciding to bail out.

This has happened a few times by a few members (& some guests) recently.

I'm sorry. If you want me to participate in your thread give me something to talk about.
Take a stand. Make a comment.  Just write something.... You'd never walk up to a group of people and toss out a random name or statement and then step back while they discussed whatever it us u just uttered.

There are a few exceptions.  Food is one. You could start a thread about food like bacon by typing  BACON! In the first post and the discussion would lead itself (it's been done tho so don't do it) but please notice this basically only works with food.
