Subject: Studio 54

Let's just say for example, A Studio 54 just opened up in 2024, What would be different today compared to that from The 1970's?

Well, I think it's feasible to open a new "dance club". I don't see it possible to open a "Studio 54" because today's culture is so different. Unless it was a "retro replica" of the original. That might generate some interest - for a month maybe (or if it's well done, curious tourists might carry it).

I don't think there would be as much coke going around. Other drugs probably.

Correct. There would be a lot of drugs but they would be different. Though coke is evepresent.
Also, the music would be different, the clothing fashions would be different, the technology to play the music and operate the lights would be different (things were still analog in the days of the original Studio 54), the styles of dancing would be different, the attitude of the patrons would be different as there would be the presence of iPhones and social media, which was nonexistent in the era of the original Studio 54. In short, it would be unrecognizable as compared to the original Studio 54.

Exactly, today's kids are different, Gen Z culture might not be that interested to listen to disco music from that of the 70's, I think they're interests pertain to their kind of music, And also security might be different too as well.

The drug situation would be different too, I think this new dance club might be a smoke free place.

I definitely agree on that one.

I saw the movie 54, and the things that went on in the club were shocking at the time, but tame by today's standards. If a Studio 54 did exist today, it would just be your average run of the mill night club

And I think security checks would be present in today's Studio 54,
Were there checks back during The 70's?

I also think more police would be present today cause of what's happening in today day and age if you had a Studio 54 around.
