Subject: When do you consider the end of classic Sesame Street?

Written By: yelimsexa on 09/13/21 at 7:44 am

Although Sesame Street of course is targeted towards young children, some longtime fans will take notice of the many shifts that the show has taken over the years and decades. New Muppets are introduced, and older ones are used less or retired. The theme song changes, and a lot of new films and short segments are also introduced. The subject matter also changes, changing from the Jim Henson influence to the Elmo-centric universe. Like classic rock or pop music, the definition of where the classic era stops may change over time, and also vary by person, often a factor of when they grew up. With that said, at what point do you belive that the classic era of Sesame Street ended?

Classic Sesame Street will always be there on YouTube for those people who remember the old segments, muppets and things they did on the show but as for Sesame Street itself will probably never die, they've been around for over 50 years and they want to teach the children of today and continue to teach children into the future but as for us over the age of 40 or 50, we just move on, Sesame Street isn't for us anymore.
